Vita TV: A Question, A Problem, and A Lot of Potential

PixlBit | "Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference Monday offered a glimpse into the Vita’s future. We learned about new hardware with a 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter design, extended battery life, and six color options. We also learned about several new games in development. But the Vita TV was the biggest news by far."

The story is too old to be commented.

Here are your potential answers:

1. The Vita TV supports HID, so potentially if Sony doesn't choose to fix the controller problem, a 3rd party might.

2. Updates can be issued to alter control schemes for compatibility.

3. The Vita TV is an OPTION! Why would you WANT a Vita TV if you're concerned about the controls of the regular handheld being cut down? Otherwise, see no. 1.

4. The Vita TV outputs 480p, 720p, and 1080i via HDMI, plus upscaling is possible...

The VTV won't launch until after the PS4 does. And by extension the Dualshock 4, that has a touchpad. If Sony is going to play it super aggressively, they'd bundle the DS4 with it in America.

Vita TV is awesome. I can't wait to jailbreak it, then charge people to remote play off my ps4.

Only $5 per hour!
