Are we talking about the right stuff when it comes to evaluating which next-gen console is right for someone? VGW's Russell Jones lists what he thinks are the most important questions people need to ask themselves before November.
good article will get X1 first on Day one and get a PS4 sometime next year great gaming ahead for both consoles
The article is slanted a little towards the Xbox One. Not really a good article. This article seemed negative to me, these gaming journalist take themselves way to seriously. The first adopters of these consoles already know everything they need to know about the respective consoles, enough to know that they want and are getting one.
The next gen questions that REALLY matter: - What's Microsofts next shot in the foot. Seriously that is a proper question.
the next gen question that really MATTERS is when are ms gonna reveal the REAL SPECS for xbone
who cares, the games look good, that's good enough for me...
They already announced the specs. They don't have some magical super secret hardware that they're hiding. We already know exactly what the consoles hardware is capable of.
The analysis of games for each system in the article is very shallow and doesn't paint the full picture. Below are some stats pulled from wikipedia that I think give a better total vision of the games for each system, not just at launch but in the pipeline. Summary of all announced games (Xbox One, PS4) Launch Games - 24, 29 2013 Post Launch Games – 0, 10 2014 Games – 22, 41 2015 Games – 5, 4 Release TBA Games – 12, 40 Total Announced Games – 63, 124 Summary of Exclusives (Xbox One, PS4) First Party Launch Exclusives – 8, 6 Third Party Launch Exclusives – 2, 9 Total Launch Exclusives – 10, 15 First Party Post Launch Exclusives – 10, 14 Third Party Post Launch Exclusives – 4, 41 Total Post Launch Exclusives - 14, 55 Total Exclusives - 24, 70 Source: Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
PS4 here, simply because the risk precentage is far far less compared to XBox ONE.
I was originally all-in with PS4, but Microsoft has made all the right tweaks with Xbox One since Sony destroyed it at E3. People can get on Microsoft for backpedaling, but they listened to the complaints and addressed the biggest ones.
I'm getting both, because since the days of Nintendo and Genesis, it's what I always did. But to be honest, I'll be on Battlefield 4 on whichever system has a better online community. Only other game that interests me is Ryse of course, and I'll try out Warframe since its free. But Killzone looks generic as hell, and knack not to appealing. Wasn't Planetside 2 supposed to be a launch game for the PS4 as well?
