An Open Letter to Nintendo About the 2DS

GeekParty's Nate Turner writes: "As a longtime fan, I’m thrilled to see your new product, the 2DS. After all, knowing that I can purchase a technological step backward in my gaming devices is precisely the sort of thing that excites me as a gamer. I’m particularly impressed at how you managed to take not just one, but two steps backward. Simply cutting back the 3D aspect was impressive enough, but not letting us close the thing? Talk about nostalgia!" (2DS, 3DS, Nintendo)

Yes because every gaming device released is targeted at you author... Do people not get that some devices released by these companies are not trying to target them?

Different model, different price.
It's not like it's meant for everyone, it's not like they're stopping the production of the 3DS.

It's like the PS Vita TV. A cheap Vita alternative.
But the real OLED Vita remains the best.

The open letter format usually comes across as pretentious... this instance included. If you want to critique then just do so without role playing or like Nintendo actually cares about your opinion.

Nintendo responds: thank u for your sarcasm, plz feel free to purchase the more expensive 3ds for 3d gaming or the newly introduced and more affordable 2ds for those hard to find 3d sweet spot on games such as street fighter 4. Which ever one u choose, know that you'd still b giving us your money. Till then we will let our over 100 years of experience keep printing money.
