USGamer- Assassin's Creed IV Hands-On: Ubisoft's "Juggernaut" Heads Out to Sea

USG:After many trailers, theater presentations, and hands-off demos, the time for me to take a controller in my hands and actually play Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is here. Had everything Ubisoft shown me up until now been a clever ruse? Assassin's Creed III didn't come together as well as I'd hoped, but the core of a solid future for the franchise was there. So a great deal of my future hopes are riding on this hands-on.

The story is too old to be commented.

I played the game as well. It cannot be put into words how awesome this game looks. One must play it for themselves. It is all very real looking and you are totally sucked into the games action, adventure, scenery and details. The water is the best I've ever seen on a console game. This whole game is setting the bar for what we can expect in Next Gen titles. The major studios are going to be coming with epic games like inFamous SS, Killzone SF, Watch Dogs to say the least. But yes, I was very very impressed with AC4 BF.

As for playing it on the PS3 two weeks before the PS4. I'm holding off for the PS4 version. Since that is the experience everyone should look for. It's built to PS4 specs and it will be worlds better in graphic detail. It also uses the touch pad on the DS4.

What function does the touch pad have in the game?

It opens the game map. You can also zoom in and out with it and navigate.
