DSOGaming writes: "During the IFA exhibition in Berlin, Slightly Mad Studios showcased Project CARS running at 4K on Panasonic's 4K Ultra HD televisions."
Can't wait until these TVs become standard and affordable.
i see 55inch sony 4k telis for 3k now. i remember fanboys disagreeing with me about 4k being affordable this year to next year but they kept on saying it wont be until 2015 or more and will cost upwards of 20,000k.
It must be nice having 3 grand to spend on a TV. I barely have enough for food.
If a Titan can push Pcars in 4k @ 60fps then i KNOW my HD7970ghz CFX setup will do better. Too bad 4K monitors are still $3k so 1600p will just have to do :( LOL
May not be better than Titan.
prety decent... can it run manhunt in 60fps 1080p though?
120FPS for Manhunt
Manhunt? I haven't heard that name in years. Surely it's an old school title that def deserves a remake. OT - this looks great!
In my opinion Project Cars puts Forza, Drive Club and Gran Turismo to shame even when it isn't running at 4k. There are some undoctored screenshots out there that are absolutely mind-blowing.
Most of all the screenshots are undoctored since they come from people actually playing the game. It's so amazing because all the media promotion for Project CARS has come from the community... they don't have a PR firm doing any PR for them.
Most likey, but how many can afford to run a setup like that? If only money grew on trees. @ Below Trolling? I'm doing the exact opposite...I thought 4K tv's had the price tag of a diamond? Oh I see now. Where the poster wrote 'isnt running at 4k' I somehow read it as 'running at 4k'.
You don't own a 4k monitor/TV so I doubt you need much more than a mid range DX11 video card to run the game close to high settings at your monitor/TV's native resolution. Nice attempt to troll though.
Well let's be a bit realistic here on what is the target hardware for Project Cars versus Forza or GT. Forza and GT run on hardware that is 7+ years old with 512MB RAM and a bad GPU, no PC from that time would run Project Cars in any way that would make the game look appealing. Both are impressive achievements in their own right, Project Cars for looking great on the latest PC hardware and Forza and GT fpr looking the way they look on old, underpowered and outdated hardware.
Are you the sensible one, sort of like the inbetweener of Blue and Greenpowerz?
Nah just the sane one out of those 2 who enjoys PC and console games alike :)
I was referring to Forza 5 with my comparison. I am really interested in what the PS360/Wii U versions are going to look like though. Hopefully they start showing trailers for it sometime in the near-ish future.
Now go Quad-sli and see what happens.
holy whole in a donut !
Can't wait for this game to hit my PC.
4K for gaming? Not for a while! 4 titans to get 60fps in Metro or Crysis 3
I'll wait 2-3 years... I'll buy a cheapo korean [email protected] and game with a Nvidia GTX1000. ...one can dream
The developers have it running on 2 Titans and a 4Ghz 6-core i7....with MSAA running at 80-120fps, 60hz. They could probably get it running at 4k, 60fps with less hardware though. http://www.neogaf.com/forum...
But can the next gen consoles run it at that res??? lol
I got this sinking feeling when GranTurismo moves to the PS4 that it *could quite possibly have an enable option to go from (1920 x 1080) to (3840 x 2160 or 4K).
PS4 doesn't do 4K...
It has 4k output but only for movies/videos, not games.
Next gen consoles aren't running 4k games. They have tablet CPUs for christ sake. It's literally impossible for them to even hit 2560x1440 much less 4k. 4K is maybe 2-3 years from PC gaming and perhaps a decade away for consoles, if there even still making console by then.
When Motion Control came around, I thought meh, not convinced. When 3D tv came around, I thought meh, not convinced. When 4K tv came around, I thought meh, not convinced... Then I saw one at Best Buy... Oh. My. God. It's the eventual future whether you think so or not. 4k is so crystal clear you feel like you're looking through a window into another universe. Absolutely blew me away the first time I saw one. And when PC graphics cards are finally able to push a 4k monitor to 60fps with AAA titles, it'll be all over from there lol. I cannot tell you how excited I am to eventually own a 4k monitor. It will be a few years, but boy is the wait going to be worth it. Ultra HD is a convincing future of TV and gaming. One that I can enjoyably anticipate.
Yea 4k is literally the one-step away from virtual reality, which Oculus is seriously pushing hard. When they become affordable($800-$1500) HD will become nill new form of video production will be made(i.e Blu-Ray will become void).
consoles are always a full generation behind high end gaming pc's when they launch this game will not even be native 1920x1080 on ps4 xbox1 it will not be until ps5 that AAA console games will run in native 4k res, yet pc does it today it was the same last gen, when ps3 launched so did the NVidia 8800, that card smashed the ps3, it ran games in 1080p native that the ps3 was running in 720p or sub-hd and heck, in bf4, which runs in medium-low settings at sub-1080p on ps4, the pc specs have just been released and an 8800 can run bf4, probably about on par with how the ps4 runs it so the ps4 has finally caught console gaming up to a card that came out 7 years ago
stop talking crap. This would be 1080p on PS4.
This game would cause next-gen console to implode. Seriously, this puts Forza and GT to shame.
