Titanfall v Destiny: a war that will change shooters for ever

Realism can be an over-rated quality. The modern military titles that have ruled the first-person shooter genre since Call of Duty 4 have invented or adapted plenty of intriguing mechanics, like character classes, killstreaks and customisable load-outs. (Destiny, PC, PS3, PS4, TitanFall, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Both these games look awesome

My personal opinion is that there is not such war, Destiny handsdown is the changer here, i mean awesome graphics, big open world to explore, single player story and online component integrated seamlessly, i see a lot of potential on Destiny

Single player story and online component? Do you not know anything about Destiny? It's an MMO. Which means the online is the major part. There is no offline Singleplayer mode in this game lol. Titanfall is just cod with mechs an that game also has no Singleplayer offline mode.

That said. I love MMO's an bungie look to be making the first shooter MMO that looks good to me. Although for MMO's I'm waiting for wildstarr.

Check your facts, they already confirm that can be played single player and focus on the narrative of the marshall, and obiosuly they recomend online for a better "experience"

A game changer on both sides bring differing and yet online MP to the table where both will dominate it's own unique style of play.

Destiny with it's MMO like gameplay and Titanfall with it's virtical gameplay with mechs, and funner than Destiny which is a trade off of either games not saying that Titanfall is better than Destiny. Equally bring their strengths to the table compared to COD or BF4.

Loool any MMO can be played Singleplayer (see SWTOR) doesn't mean that it's the way it's meant to be played. And if your buying an MMO for the Singleplayer than you've got the wrong idea of the game an it's design completely. Destiny is an online massive multiplayer game.

Edit: this means you need to be online to play it. Doesn't sound very Singleplayer focused does it? :/

Getting both. Love FPS and these are at opposite ends of the spectrum from each other. No need to compromise :)

Very true, and having both is what I would call gaming stamina at it's finest.

There is no contest. These games aren't even comparable.

Titanfall: releases well before destiny. fast paced pvp focus, gritty near-future sci-fi, instanced combat.

Destiny: Coming out later. Slower pace (COD's Halo to Titanfall's Destiny). Way distant future sci-fi, MMO-style coop/pvp focus. Instanced combat as well, I'm sure, but more emphasis on story/coop. Finding other players while they are doing their own activities ect ect.

They are both FPS', and they are both next gen. Beyond that, I don't see any reasons so compare these games. I want both.

Destiny has my vote for sure! Psyched for it.

Why do people insist on comparing games that don't have much in common? Battlefield and Call of Duty have more in common than Titanfall and Destiny.

It would never have occurred to me to compare these two games and call it a war.

Having said that, Destiny all day, because it doesn't look like the usual shooter fare. It's not exactly doing new things, but it's a combo of a lot of good stuff we don't see often enough.

Titanfall does look fun, but it's not the type of game that would hold my attention for very long, much like Call of Duty never has.

Just my opinions.

Doesn't matter when xb1 gamers will have both.

I'll just play destiny until titanfall comes to the ps4, which it will. I'm not buying another space heater for one game like I did with the 360. It's a shame you wasted your one bubble on that comment.

Have they showed anything new on Destiny? I want the game but the e3 demo didn't really wow me

Titanfall looks meh. Cod with mechs./ Not my thing.

Destiny looks alot better and there's massive sp and mp.
