Oli looks back at the game that is often used as the defining point for GTA. San Andreas
I love you San Andreas.
what I don't understand is if I remember correctly when sa was released everyone bitched and moaned it was too big. I for one loved it and didn't get why everyone didn't like it. the only thing I hated about it was how ugly it was on ps2. other than that it was my fav gta game. but then after 4 came out all the sudden everyone hated 4 because it wasn't more like sa. maybe im completely wrong but this is what I remember about sa.
Not sure, all i remember is being 14 years old, sitting on my bed in my boxers playing San Andreas all day every day. Then my audio cable broke for my PS2...........so i carried on playing without any sound. LOL.
now that's dedication!
I remember playing it from about 6pm when I got home from work, till about 3.30 to 4 ish in the morning. Then waking up again at 6am to go work and still playing for like 30min before leaving the house. I would get to work and fall asleep at my desk, lol. Fortunately this was back in my 20's when I had the energy to waste... and what better to waste it on !!
a lot of people did react like that. i was the oppisite though. I thought GTA4 was sh*t because it wasnt like SA. you couldnt do really anything besides missions in 4 and all the money you earned was useless. i loved all the customization in SA, the scope, the side missions, everything. that game was perfection. So far though im wildly impressed with 5, cant wait until next week.
