Over the last couple of days video Let’s Plays, gameplay clips and even the soundtracks of Persona games have been taken down off Youtube due to copyright claims of a channel alledgedly owned by a Russian sketch comedian and news presenter.
Youtube has become a mess, how is it possible that they dont check these reports thoroughly. Especially when it concerns such a big company as Atlus. I have seen people saying its the work of bots.
I think it's the work of bots TBH, I mean I've had shit flagged as copyright for no apparent reason, no title, and no stolen clip. SOme of it is just BS
They have a built in flag system. It checks audio/video content while it's uploading and checks it against their internal system. The way its setup is that companies who automatically have copyright flags on their stuff means that only partnered content providers can monetize specific copyrighted material, where-as nobodies can't monetize crap. It's a stupid setup but it's all designed for the people who control and monetize ad revenue on YouTube. Only way to make money without selling your soul to a partner is to get lucky with a crappy homemade viral video.
She's saying it's a virus
