Gearbox wants to do more Borderlands 2 DLC in 2014 if Headhunter Packs are successful

Warp Zoned writes:

"During last weekend’s PAX Prime expo, we had a chance to talk with Josh Jeffcoat, a Game Designer on Borderlands 2 at Gearbox Software. In the course of the interview, Jeffcoat had a lot to say about the game’s upcoming trio of mini-DLCs and revealed that the company’s current plan is to release all three Headhunter Packs by the end of the year. Jeffcoat also told us that the developers at Gearbox would love to create more Headhunter Packs in 2014, if the first three sell well." (Borderlands 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Would love to get the GOTY version on Vita.

I really hope they're working on Borderlands 3 as well, a 2015 release for next gen would be awesome.

I hate that this game has become a continual pay type of system where you're always trying to get the whole game by spending more and more. It's a horrible system.
Lukas_Japonicus  +   510d ago
I agree that the system you describe is horrible, but this game doesn't use that system...at least not for the most recent major DLC anyway. I fully support DLC that gets developed after the release of the game as it doesn't take anything away from the main game to sell at a later date.

Agree lukas!

You have a right to your opinion, while I am never buying another gearbox game until they release the edition that has everything included. Apparently that's going to be two years later now. It sucks to pay full price upon release and be asked to pay and pay and pay again.

What are you talking about? Borderlands 2 has more than enough content to play through. The DLC is all optional, it doesn't take away from the main experience.
vallencer  +   510d ago
You don't have to pay for any of the extra content. You can stick with your base game that is clearly worth $60. All they are doing is making extra content for the people that want to have more to do in the game. There isn't anything wrong with that. I just hope you're not one of those people who expect everything for free. Companies need to make money and dlc to lengthen the game is one way to do it.

I hope so, the first 3 DLC's were lacklustre but the last one was awesome, because it was made by Gearbox and not outsourced to other developers, the difference in quality was night and day. I would definitely buy a second season pass if they promised to be as good as 'Tiny Tina's assault on dragons keep'.

Loving the digistruct peak map, and working my way to 72/80, I will happily pay for more, Borderlands is now in my top 5 ever franchises. love love love it!!!

Is the Digistruct DLC playable for SP or just 4 player co op?
As a SP, it sucks that it sends you right back to the beginning when you die.

f*ck that. Those level cap raises where part of DLC maps. They are money grubbing assh*les. I will buy maps, but not the level caps.
