thought it would be tough to get beyond 650k but the momentum pushed it along.

only 2 days left, not enough for the next big game upgrade at 1025k

kind of sad because that goal was to make the over-world fully explorable.

The article says that kickstarters often get a lot of contributions in the last couple of days so there is a good chance that it will reach that goal. Personally, I would want them to reach the last goal so that we can get the best game possible. I hope they can manage their funds efficiently unlike that Hagar guy who squandered all the funding even though it was seven times the original goal and now is cancelling his game.

In my opinion we are going to have an amazing game no matter what. It was important for me that we at least got the $650,000 goal. The next one would be nice and I am not giving up hope yet because the momentum certainly is increasing. I really would like Nobuo Uematsu to compose an orchestrated soundtrack but just the fact that he is comping at all tells me the soundtrack will be stellar as usual even if it is synthesized music.

So how do these kinds of games work? They start the game and people contribute and as the contributions go up the developers begin adding new things?

I think this and Mighty No 9 are the two best Kickstarters to come out this year.

Breaking Down Project Phoenix's Million Dollar Budget Blunder

Joanna Mueller writes: "In the end, CIA's increased scope only served to drive backers further away. Players were not impressed when the team finally released a vertical cut of the new 3D gameworld. CIA was reluctant to start over after investing so much money into their 3D models."

I feel bad for anyone that backed this project. What a mess
