'Rocksmith 2014' Trailer Shows What's New and Improved

Ubisoft has released a trailer for Rocksmith 2014 Edition titled, “What’s New & Improved in Rocksmith 2014 Edition.”

With all aspects of the core game being fine-tuned, Rock Smith 2014 is designed to make it easier for people of all guitar-playing experiences to settle into rocking out. The game will not only tell players what they’re doing wrong, but it’ll also allow you to learn how to play the guitar at your own pace.

Will definitely pick this up.

First game was a great concept, but it did have its issues...

Like how every time you went to do something, regardless of what you were doing (playing an event, practicing a song, trying to learn a new chord, trying to learn a new technique, etc.) the game would ALWAYS force you to check your tuning, which really just slowed things down. My guitar may not have cost me $4000, but I know how to maintain my instrument and it stays in tune much much longer than one goddamned song!

The interface was also kinda clunky. I hated how, for example, if I went to go learn a specific section of a song (like a verse or a chorus section), or even just learn a new set of chords specific to a certain song, it would back me out to the main menu when I was finished with that one bit.

It's one of those little things, but I've heard they've fixed all this, so I'm eagerly awaiting the 2014 edition.
