Behind The Scenes Of One Of The PS4's Biggest Games | Kotaku

Kotaku - When Brad Meyer wants to create fire, he doesn't just light a match. He rubs two pieces of charcoal together, then burns some charcoal, then pours water on burning charcoal, then rubs more charcoal together, then drops charcoal on a steel chimney, then crushes up charcoal with a mortar and pestle, and then, just for good measure, he blows air through a tube.

Eonjay3877d ago

The fidelity is so high its crazy. No frame drops. Obviously 1080P. Looks amazing.

This is just the beginning of the awesome that is Sony FP studios cranking out game after game after game of originality, variety, technical complexity, visual splendor and physics systems that will be game changers. The PS1, PS2, and PS3 all had these wonderful games. Logic suggests that the PS4 will be the home of the most amazing gaming experiences. The SHARE button will make a huge impact as well.

I have no problem with Sony spilling the beans on games 1 to 3 years out like they did with the PS3, however I fully understand if Sony chooses to stagger announcements of AAA games much closer to release, early signs are pointing in that direction.

I cannot wait for November 15th.

Praise be to SLOTH the one True God is SLOTH.

Edit:

Why the disagree(s)?

You dare to doubt the divinity and one True Godness of SLOTH? Blasphemer, may you be covered in Wocky Whoad for an eternity where 65 year old men dressed in lingerie lick every inch of your body while you are forced to watch re-runs of the worst rated shows in world history.

So it is written, so it must be true.

This the most "Next Gen" looking game that I've see yet, and of course its exclusive to the most powerful gaming console ever conceived. I can't wait for this one. I've been a fan since the first game. Will be incredible.

Godoftheweek3877d ago

Agreed. The level of detail, the destructibility, the fluid animations, the clarity of shadows, surfaces, and of course what looks to be excellent gameplay, shows us what the PS4 is capable of at the very beginning of its lifecycle.

As Sony's AAA FP developers work together to really dig into the machine, we will be treated with games that will make this game look very dated, just as it has been with the PS1, PS2 and PS3.

Think ND and what they have been working on in secret for 2 years, add in the main writer for BSG, make it a sci-fi game, and you have IMO a game that will be one of the early games that defines the PS4 with sequels that will surpass each other.

Then there is SSM, QD, and so many more. November 15th cannot come soon enough for me.

On the 15th of november make a video of you unboxing your ps4 and setting it up and upload it on youtube since i can only get mine on the 29th.

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM97d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck97d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati96d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos97d ago (Edited 97d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88128d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183127d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie127d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
