5 Reasons to Play Diablo III on Xbox 360

BioGamer Girl states, "Diablo III has made its long anticipated arrival for consoles with releases for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 arriving in retailers last week. The new game allows players to team up in four player cooperative sessions with nearly all of the same features from the original release plus some updated content as well." (Diablo III, Xbox 360)

Why just the 360?
sobotz  +   231d ago
You can say the same to R* GTA V ads

Its probably what they played it on before making the article.

I had several console friends that bought it so got a copy from Gamefly to play with them. It works as good or better than I thought and even looks good still. There are some changes though but most are for the better anyways. One of the best PC to console ports IMO and fun with friends. Helps fill the void as not as many ARPGs this gen worth mentioning (PS2/Xbox was fun--BG/EQ/XMen/Etc).

i sow a 4 hours D3 walkthrough by ign and they said the X360 have the superior hands when it comes to console version , its less glitchy i guess

Cause it's always wise to trust the website that has there logo feces smeared all over the 360 dashboard and has exclusive videos and whatnot...Thats like believing Major Microsoft when he says there are no problems with One80 hardware, or Micro$haft suits that their console is not 50% weaker than the PS4 even though every website on the internet that even breathes on hardware state as FACT that it is weaker by around 50%

GTAV was built from the ground up on PS3, and Diablo was first ported from PC and optomized for PS3 before 360.

This is kind of shocking as throughout this generation, most games were ported to PS3 after being optomized for 360. Good to see, but none the less, great games regardless of console preference.

The article should just read, a great game for consoles. Rather than choosing one.

GTA V was build from the ground up for 360, just like Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto IV. Sony paid Rockstar to make PS3 ads and gameplays. Last week the press (IGN) had hands on with GTA V on Xbox 360. Rockstar let them play on that system because its the leading one and nothing was shown to public, so they didn't break Sony's contract.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a PS3 player, but these are the facts.

@battle

I have had the luxury of seeing this game running behind closed doors. I cannot go into much detail than more than this game is simply remarkable, but it was running on PS3, a retail PS3 not a dev kit. The R* dev did mention that it was originally built on PS3, and moved to 360. One thing he mentioned that made this difficult was the fact of having to place the game on 2 discs for 360.

Note: This is what the Dev said, he may have stretched the truth, yet the same can be said about what the devs said to the IGN guys, remember this is R*.

Either way, the game is amazing. It is a next-gen game on current hardware.

LMAO that is all

I've been considering getting this game... but between Blacklist and GTAV, I just can't rationalize it. Maybe if I have some extra money kicking around between GTAV and Nov. 22nd.

seems like a "single playthrough" kind of game. Which doesn't cut it for me.
Bundi  +   231d ago
Because it is the best console version at the moment. Fact.
The_Infected  +   230d ago
Reasons? I'm playing it on 360 and it play great but I'm sure it's just as good as PS3.
Bundi  +   230d ago
Better frame rate. Better controller. The PS3 isn't bad by any means, the 360 just has the better version.

It's science.
Snookies12  +   230d ago
@Bundi - Better controller is not a fact. It's an opinion. I much rather prefer the PS3's controller for this game. However, having played BOTH console versions. 7 hours on PS3 and around 6 hours on 360. I can say based on what I've seen that the PS3 version actually does have frame rate issues. I noticed slightly jarring stops in animation quite a few times while playing. These did not happen in the same areas on the 360 version. However, I did notice the opening cutscene of the 360 version had issues. (Not sure if it was just that particular copy or what though.)

Either way, it's quite a fun game to play with friends. Although I think it gets a little too hectic with 3-4 players at once. It feels just right with 2 for me personally.

Oooooh "science"
Deadpoolio  +   229d ago
....Nevermind the FACT that it was designed on PS3/PS4 and ported to 360...Only after Micro$haft felt the need to butt in.....

It's also been said a couple of times now that the PS4 version is most likely exclusive to PS4 and the One80 wont be getting it, as part of the partnership between Blizzard and Sony

Thought we were talking bout Xbox 360 and PS3 versions here. I'm sorry, was I vague when I said it is the best console version at the moment?
Hey if you have the PS4 version RIGHT NOW then my bad, I stand corrected. However, port or hand me down, frame rates don't lie and Xbox 360 version has the best performance as far as consoles are concerned right now.

It's science.

Sounds like a totally biased article. Little confused on why that wouldn't just read 5 reasons to play it on the consoles. SMH
Lionalliance  +   230d ago
huh, always though Diablo 3 console was only for ps3 lol
GiantEnemyCrab  +   230d ago
This article didn't give me any reasons to play specially on Xbox besides mentioning XBL. You could use this same list for the PS3.
Dragonshardz  +   230d ago
I can name one reason - it was made with consoles in mind. Har har har.

In all seriousness, I would very much like to try it out on a console. No RMAH, no bullshitty drops... it feels tighter and more interesting as well.

Ah, PC master race my ass.
nosferatuzodd  +   230d ago
biasness is overwhelming in the one

I just started act 3 on the PS3 and all I know is I can't put the controller down this game is addictive. I have seen a couple glitches here and there but nothing terrible.

The only problem I have had is my auto save messed up somehow and I had to do a quest over again. Even though I had every thing from the quest in my inventory. But I couldn't move on to the next quest without repeating the quest I had just beat. Still this game is so fun that I wasn't too upset.
SaffronCurse  +   230d ago
I wonder if we can transfer our characters onto the Next gen consoles.
Deadpoolio  +   229d ago
Since it was originally designed just for Sony on PS3 and MS felt the need to jump in last minute, there isn't going to be a One80 version from what I have heard that is part of the exclusive partnership between Blizzard/Activision and Sony.....Either way it's more likely that the saves wouldn't transfer anyway
ramza04  +   229d ago
I'm currently playing this on the ps3 and its a blast. Controller feels great. I haven't experienced a single problem. I'd say this game is identical on both consoles.
