A new never before seen Pokémon has been spotted in the Nintendo Direct videos today!
Pokémon’s shift to 3D was a big mistake, as the series’ roots in 2D design make it difficult to transfer important game mechanics into a 3D overworld.
why do other games pull off 3D monster collecting JRPG games just fine? Look at Jade Cocoon and Shin Megami Tensei for examples.
Answer should be obvious.

The Pokemon Company has a solid thing going right now. Well, it’s been going on for a while, actually, but it has been a while since a new typing has been introduced to the popular monster-taming series. The latest one, Fairy type, was introduced back in Generation VI (Pokemon X & Y), so it does seem like it is time to bring in a new one. Check out Jason Capp's article for more.

I actually spotted this Pokémon when the three of them were talking and sitting in the room with the bajillion Pokémon plushies. I was wondering what that was, since I can definitely tell all 649+ the announced Kalos so far. When they zoomed in on the dude right of Masuda, I could see Pidove, but it didn't look like it at all. Wrong color. Glad to know it was a new Pokémon all along! :D

Definitely. I can see the resemblance. Got the same color, the hair seems to match, the horn is there, and the face color. I'd be shocked if this wasn't an Absol pre-evo.
