Splinter Cell: Blacklist Review | PlayStationer

Splinter Cell is synonymous with the PlayStation brand and when it first launched on the PlayStation 2 in 2002, it became an instant classic with gamers. Fast forward 11 years and Sam fisher has finally graced the PlayStation 3 and brought Splinter Cell firmly into the current generation of gaming. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a master class in stealth action and with a wonderful and believable cast of characters, a terrific plot that spans the entire globe and a host of online and local multiplayer game types, this is a game that will not disappoint and is the definition of bang for your buck. (PS3, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist) 90/100

"Splinter Cell is synonymous with the PlayStation brand".

LOL. When did that happen?

Yea, I cant remember what systems it released on, but the first one was wayyy better on the original Xbox. It had a (at the time) revolutionary online multiplayer that was a blast.

Not to mention the more recent one was exclusive to 360 right?

Yep. Was better on first Xbox but I don't remember that being the first game in the franchise and yes the recent one was console exclusive on 360.

Not sure why that statement was made but still, this looks like a good game though the easy mode abilities they add to it do kind of annoy me. A lot of stealth games seem to be giving you ways to easily take out multiple enemies in one go these days.

The game was a show piece on the original XBOX. I think it was time exclusive.

If they were talking Metal Gear, then they would have a point.

It's funny because I associate Splinter Cell with the PC and Xbox, not Playstation.
The PS2 versions of the first three games in the series paled in comparison to the PC and Xbox versions. And Conviction didn't even come out on a Playstation platform.

Anyway, Splinter Cell Blacklist is a fantastic game that can be enjoyed on PC, Wii U, 360 and PS3. I'm sure it is great on any platform. I'm playing the PC version and it plays and looks outstanding.
