PlayStation Mobile Promotion with No Publisher License Fee Extended with No Deadline

Sony Computer Entertainment has been targeting independent and one-man-team developers very aggressively with PlayStation Mobile, by waiving the fee to obtain a publisher license.

The promotion was scheduled to end, but it has now been extended, with no deadline in sight.

Its a good step but they need to boost up the specs of what developers are allowed to use.

Current PSMobile devkits cater far too much to lower end devices and ports of games like Chaos Rings (SE JRPG) are suffering a little with frame rate issues because not enough of the PSV7s power can actually be accessed.

Need to keep improving the dev tools Sony. With Indie games, mobile games (and other new developers) means more software.

but its a step in teh right direction thats for sure.

Completely agree with you and I'll add that not only they need to improve dev tools but also spread the service to all the countries. As of this momento ps mobile is available in like 5/6 countries more less and there's a few games I would like to get but I can't because the service sn't available in my country.

HTC One x, One s, One V, and One X+ are compatible with PlayStation Mobile. Sony products that are compatible include the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Xperia Arc, Xperia Arc S, Xperia Arco, Xperia Arco HD, Sony Tablet P, Tablet S, Xperia S, Xperia Ion, Xperia Tablet S, Xperia T, Xperia V, and the PlayStation Vita.
