ACIV: My Most Anticipated Next-Gen Launch Game

IGN - Black Flag just went from "zero" to "ZOMG!" on one editor's anticipation scale. Find out why -- and how the PS4 touch pad makes the game better. (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS4, Xbox One)

Some of us have been saying it since E3, lol. :/

Oh well seems like a lot of people are really looking forward to this.

I remember playing AC2 back in the day. It was such an awefully boring experience I havent dared try another AC game since.

Ac 2 , so far, is the best in the series.

I really like AC2, but I think Brotherhood was a little better. And Revelations and AC3 were also very good. Personally, I think each game in the series has generally been better than the previous.

I loved the forest traversal, the hunting, the improved stealth mechanics (finally we can hide around corners and in bushes), the smoother and more varied combat, and the naval battles and exploration in Assassin's Creed 3.

I think Ubisoft has done a wonderful job with the Assassin's Creed franchise. And although I would prefer a little more time to pass between entries in the series, I can't deny that all of the games have been quite good and a lot of fun for me.

Yup AC2 was the peak, and one of my favorite games. But it's been down hill ever since. I almost didn't order AC4 but I got a really good deal on it. Though if this one continues the downward trend then I'm done with this series.

AC2 is the most accessible and likeable of the series. Gameplay and graphics wise it was surpassed by every sequel. Also the storytelling got better over time because the side characters also developed over time, unlike the majority of the characters from AC2 who stayed the same over the course of the game.

AC3 gameplay is more accessible than AC2 due to it's trivially easy combat. It was the easiest AC game yet. I just used the hidden blade 95% of the time as that all that's really needed.

Excited to play this along with all the other great games on my PS4 at launch. Most anticipated? No. But anticipated none the less.

Once I have my must have game Infamous:SS then i can branch out into everything else.
CrossingEden  +   593d ago
You do realize that it's coming out in 2014 right? All these other games are coming out in 2013
DEATHxTHExKIDx  +   593d ago
im fully aware. Honestly the launch line ups for PS4 and X1 havent rlly peaked my interest. Im not even gonna buy AC4 ima borrow that from a friend at best. Most games im looking forward to are coming to current gen consoles and, heading into 2014. its part of the reason im not getting a PS4 at launch.

The whole history aspect of the entire franchise had me from the get go to be honest. I'll always be intrigued at where & and when they'll set the next Assassin's Creed. Rumours say the next one after 4 will be in India or something.

I don't think any period has topped renaissance Italy yet though.

I like the idea of changing time periods too. The games are great. I have them all now but I have yet to finish brotherhood. They watered the series down with etzio's multiple games and I personally won't play 3 until I finish revalations and brotherhood in case I miss something. I would be OCD like that ha. Hopefully someday soon I can trudge through them.

it got lot criticism but i enjoyed revelations,
as it wrap up the story for the games up too that point.

AC3 while fun did not appeal too me as much it had potential but i did not like the direction they went

It's AC3's setting that makes me want to play it. My friends live it so I'm looking forward to giving it a go. I like the look of black flag but won't get it for a while yet.

Seems like this person is excited for a current gen game. Is it to hype it up even more, or is there something else behind it?
jimmywolf  +   593d ago
if you watch few videos on AC4 you can see they are trying too make a good game, versus insert cash CoD.

their trying a new theme, focus more with naval combat, underwater shark hunting, improved graphics, new multilayer modes, Thu that last one did not appeal too me much.

i still think the game worth your time, if not at full price least rent it. an if it good buy it on sale
