IGN: When Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford first noted that he wanted Borderlands 2 on PS Vita, it seemed like nothing more than wishful thinking.
Ps4 have one less than X1. If you count the F2P exclusives it actually has more. If you count all the games it has more. Rime than Ryse anytime I'm afraid.
I find it funny that people are complaining about the lack of AAA titles on PS4. Is it so hard to understand that there are dozens of PS4 exclusive games in development as we speak? Sony will time those announcements very strategically to WOW people just before the PS4 launches, take my word for it. They actually learned a lot of lessons in terms of marketing this gen, and blowing out everything before launch is not one of them.
I get tired of these companies not launching with enough games. Ask Nintendo...
But most of the F2P titles are only console exclusive to the PS4, right? Warframe, Planetside 2, and Blacklight: Retribution off the top of my head
@Wraith They certainly have enough. Sony's lineup is great. To me at least. Probably not to you. Killzone? Preordered. Knack? Looks charming, I'll get it when the price drops a bit. DriveClub? PS+ edition, then the full version for Xmas. And I'll be downloading DCUO, PS2, and Warframe. :) Fact is, it's only a launch lineup. Why are we acting like these are the only games we'll have to play for the next two years or something?
That's good for you but a launch line up is what makes me want to buy and decide what console to get. If they're basing it on potential then I'll just wait for a price drop.
I'm actually very excited for the PS4. I wasn't so sure at first but I just picked up a PS3 and I'm having a blast playing it. PS4 will have better exclusives, and that's why I'm gonna get one. But it is Xbox One first for me
@wriath 15th - FeB/2014 ps4 will get Killzone drive club knack infamous Final Fantasy XiV daylight and the biggest F2p warframe planet side 2 DC Black light R and some amazing PSN game: Rime shadow of the beast everyone going to the rapture ..... etc and a lot of indie titles mean while x1 has ryse froza dr3 and k-game fight within sport Xbox arcade d2 blow .....etc
Sports champions 3..... I love that shiz with the move.
Funny thing because Microsoft has tripled of what Sony has in development
It's ironic, It really is. These people actually believe indie games are low-budget 2D sidescrollers with no integrity. Meanwhile indie games are providing more originality, creativity and fun in gameplay than most AAA games. You know, the ones we complain about becoming stale? The category that everyone talks about as gameplay being more important than graphics??? So yeah. Rime, Shadow of the Beast > Ryse and Killer Instinct. And then add in all the quality F2P games and the remainder of the indie games look like they range from pretty good to fantastic. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Outlast, Transistor, Resogun, Tiny Brains, Helldivers, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'N' Tasty, Hohokum, Mercenary Kings, Primal Carnage: Genesis. All look like diverse, interesting and quality games. But, Sony's huge number of first party titles, second and third party exclusive partners cannot be negated. Watch out Xbox guys, because i'm pretty sure, as usual, you're not ready since you guys only ever look at the short-term and ignore historic trends.
NeutralXP- would you mind providing links?
Dark Cloud 3 Legend of Dragoon 2 or remake of LoD1
The PS1, PS2 and PS3 had the most AAA games of their generation. What makes you think the PS4 is an exception?
He probably means more AAA games even though it's inevitable.
Sonys track record is enough for me. Back at the launch of the ps3 it was doom and gloom on n4g and the site was 80% ms fans. Sony fans were berated about lack of games, high price, etc. I was a 360 adopter, I admit it but after a few months I had hardware issues and ms support FOR ME sucked. When the mgs4 bundle came out I bought it and never looked back. Game after game after game started coming out. The games Sony 1st and 2nd part studios just blew me away. Infamous, Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, Journey, the Last of Us, these are my kind of games. Even though the multiplats slightly favored the 360 I didn't mind since the core games that I like were exclusive to ps3. Fast forward to today. Ps4 has specs of a beast, great studios who we all know are creating continuations to their awesome IPs or even new IPs like the Order. I have no doubt that Sonys next offering in the console market will be awesome. Games, games, games. This is what I want. Not dudebro soldiers but thought provoking honest to god fun to play games.
only Xbox fan boys find something to cry about in the ps2 era oh ps2 graphics suck waaaaa they cry when Sony destroy their fav system in sales and games they wasn't complaining about games cuz they was getting destroyed in that department they only have halo 360 era oh ps3 is blueray player oh halo sell more they always find something to justify comment now its oh ps4 have only indie games wahhh they start crying again
He means more AAA games for the Vita. Killzone Mercenary is badass, but the Vita does need more shooters.
@Fun and we will get them. Sony Santa Monica Studios Sony San Diego SCEA Bend Studios Naughty Dog Quantic Dreams Sucker Punch Media Molecule I'm not worried at all.
Exactly. Sony would be stupid to go announce games for Q4 of next year. If you want to sell a console you sell it on games that come out at launch, you dont make people say, hey ill wait till that game for next year comes out. Revealing games too early is a double edged sword. Take Nintendo for example with the big blowout they had to prove the WiiU had games. Now a lot of people are just waiting for MK8 and Super smash to come out next year instead of buying the console now. Its a good thing Nintendo did it but it also hurt them.
I think that is what the PS4 is missing. A lot of shooters that doesn't really appeal to a gamer like me. I like Adventure type games like Uncharted and Heavy Rain that have heavy story elements. Xbox has Quantum Break which looks great.
The Order 1886 is supposed to be story-driven. Infamous is more adventure than shooter too, though you do shoot lots of fireballs
I wish we'd see at least SOMETHING about Quantum.
I'd rather see something from Quantic Dream than Quantum Break. But my dreams were broken at gamescom by both :/
PS4 has Quantic Dream behind it, as well as the high-profile indie games Rime and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, which look like some of the best adventure games to be coming out in the next couple of years. Rime: http://www.youtube.com/watc... Everybody's Gone to the Rapture: http://www.youtube.com/watc... The Order: 1886 is heavily inspired by Uncharted 2 and will be story-based. inFamous: Second Son is very story-based, and although it's a third person action (so is Uncharted) it's also got adventure elements. Uncharted 4 will be out without a doubt, story-based adventure? yep.
Quantum Break *IS* a shooter, troll. http://kotaku.com/quantum-b...
Go suggest some then. Finding "AAA" games to play on PS4/Vita is going to be walk in the park.
I laugh at your suggestion. HAH! Tis a sad life, pretending ND, SSM, QD, MM, SSJ, SB, and many more don't exist. You be trollin.
Legend of Dragoon 2 please. K thanks.
Bring back PS2 classics.
Heavenly Sword 2 Resistance 4: Chimeran Dawn Motorstorm 4: Trans-Africa Killzone 4: The Rise of Empress Visari Gran Turismo 7 Warhawks: Warhawk 2 Just some of my thoughts.
Warhawk 2 64-128 players. When I played Warhawk I always imagined 20 vs 20 dogfights while there is tons of people on the ground. Ooooooo MAKE IT HAPPEN SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT.
lol, all garbage I hope they don't just recycle games Im only getting a ps4 because I don't want the same exclusives over and over
Heavenly Sword 2 Absolutely!
@LordDhampire I agree I don't want the same thing over and over. But they never just do the same thing with those franchises, they always feel new and well made. Look at the Uncharted series, always amazingly well done. I know that Sony is bringing new ip's but I hope they don't forget about these ones...
Motorstorm 4 without that juvenile comic storytelling and silly characters...? I'm in.
The Getaway 3
For me Level-5 game seeing Professor Layton is best selling 3rd party on Nintendo handheld why not something similar or better Dark cloud 1-2 HD remake and Ninokune
well, if they ask new Midnight Club NiNoKuni 2 Legend of Dragoon 2 some street racing games with visual customization would be fine
No Rogue Galaxy or Dark Cloud games? Dark Cloud ROCKED on PS2 it was one of those best sellers.
i forgot Rogue Galaxy, my bad
* 3D platformer with 20 worlds that takes 30-40 hours to beat. * 3-4 RPG's - NO amnesia, no cliche, no demons, no dragons, no elfs, no orcs. Create your own race/people please! * Creative games - Like Little Big planet, but much much better * Please remove the Yellow tint from most of your game, it's annoying, and not natural or realistic at all. * FPS game with 20 maps, + map creator * Tactical RPG with Fighting game elements * PS-Allstars but with the A team instead of the B team. * Something similar to Pokemon, but obviously with original ideas * Where is your Legend of Zelda type game ? * A Sports game that is BETTER than a console version, in terms of gameplay and fun. * Games with colorful, clean Art Styles * A game like WoW's Battlegrounds, where we can earn points to buy gear and then sell gear at Auction Houses. - with different leagues and divisions * SSB but with a rotating camera so the levels are like Powerstone war, but bigger + height differences * NO annoying characters..........seriously!
I would kill for some 3D platformers. Not any of that 2.75D static-camera stuff like the Mario World 3D games - a real 3D platformer.
People want to play them, but they won't sell 15 million and it seems every dev thinks their game is the next 15 million seller when it's just soulless crap. The industry abandons far too many good genre's that we still like to play. The reason people don't buy as many 3D platformers as FPS games is BECAUSE...... They DON'T make as many 3D platformers as FPS games. I love FPS, but I'm sick of generic watered down garbage flooding the market.
"3D platformer with 20 worlds that takes 30-40 hours to beat." Knack? "Something similar to Pokemon, but obviously with original ideas" Try Ni No Kuni if you haven't. I still have to pick up my copy and I'm already hoping for a second. "Creative games - Like Little Big planet, but much much better" A 3D LBP would suffice. "Games with colorful, clean Art Styles" Rime and several indies look fitting. Overall games are looking more colorful as well.
The things I listed weren't saying Sony doesn't have them, I'm stating what ELSE I would like, to go along with what they are already providing. So Knack can be the Only 3D platformer made ? There isn't allowed to be 2-3 more ? Wow nice logic .
Bunch of fan boys thinking I'm making fun of Sony when I'm a fan and just wanting to list what ELSE I wanted.
AAA games is why consoles suck.
I love the indies
That at people with $10 million budgets trying to do what Dev's with $50 million budgets are doing and failing miserably at it. There are sooooooooooooooo many bad and uncreative ideas in games now. This gen had about 10-20 good ideas when it should have had 200. People then copied those ideas to their own games but without all the magic of adding the small things, which really matter. If people focused on making good games instead of keeping up with what is hot, games would be of higher quality, more original, and more fun to play, because we won't have played them before.
Two of the best games this year are AAA, just so you know.
Ps4:Killzone,Knack,DriveClub Xbone:Ryse,Dead Rising,Forza.(think I forgot something) But for the most the xbone only has one more aaa. The ps4 has 1 less and then a shitload of quality Indies. Not to mention th ps4 will have more games by the end of the year and a lot of ftp games. All this really puts into question who really has more games.
The "AAA" status of Ryse is pretty up in the air at the moment.
lol Knack. Also, you forgot Killer Instinct. I'm thinking in terms of review scores it will go: Forza 5 > Killzone > Dead Rising 3 > Ryse = Driveclub > Killer Instinct > Knack
I want Yakuza 5 in west I want Binary domain and spec ops 2 I want yakuza HD collection for west I want shenmue HD collection please
AAA games are resource hogs which go more for graphics than gameplay. Are really more hype and advertising.
Dead Rising 3 = Initially an Xbox 360 title pushed over to XBO... Ryse = A watered down glitchy God of War without God's or mysticism... Killer Instinct 3 = Made by a company whose highest Metacritic games was in the 60's, and essentially took the soul of the original K.I. and made it "free-to-pay"... Forza 5 = A 1080p Forza 4 with pre-baked effect... Yep XBO is looking to have top tier "aaa games"
Lmao look at those disagrees priceless
Whoop dee doo. 4 disagrees. Is that your all time record for your sorry attempt at trolling? Better bring in your second account, AddictedGamer, for back up!
Grand theft auto on PSvita
New TimeSplitters. With a map editor. New Valkyria Chronicles. New next-gen-old-school action-RPG a la 3d Dot Game Heroes. New MAG (but I'm sure there will be other good 256+ player tactical/strategic FPS games in due time). New eye candy hack-n-slash a la Ascension of the Metatron. New Unreal Tournament.
old stereotypes are hard to break apparently... I'm fine with others thinking Playstation has no games. I'll just go struggle with figuring out what game I'd like to play..
Also, curious if any of you think the cross play feature will sort of kill this type of idea. Why develop a game for the platform specifically when you could in theory just stream your Ps4 (and with Gaikai ps3 if i understand correctly) games right to the vita. Doesn't make the Vita useless, but would eliminate the need to have a vita and ps4/ps3 version of the game, would it not? Could this be a good thing as it would open developers to bringing new ip to the vita instead of just settling for a console port?
I'd rather they keep cross buy... you won't always have a good enough connection to stream/remote play.
I just want fun games.
How about Heavnly Sword with trophies? I want to see this series brought to a larger audience to get this series going again.
A-Zelda-like game. The atomsphere, the mechanics, the like should be a focus of this Zelda attempt. I love Zelda, and it's one of those reasons why I buy Nintendo consoles. Oh, and a Metroid-type game, wouldn't hurt, either.
I would like uncharted4 and littlebigplanet3
Sony listening to it's customers again, other companies should take note how it's done.
