Forza Motorsport 5 hands-on: taming a McLaren P1 with no assists - Team VVV

VVV: "Whereas most videos demonstrate the physics with the assists on, we feel this gives an artificial representation of the handling. With this in mind, Alan bravely switched off the assists - that's a 903 bhp with no traction control or stability management. Even Alan, wasn't quite prepared for the rough ride that ensued as he struggled to tame the McLaren's potent power."

The story is too old to be commented.

I think people can put aside there fanboyism, and just admit this looks amazing.... If games already look this good, like Killzone on PS4, the next few years will be amazing...

Yep Trafalger, I do indeed look good.... Damn good....

No_Limit1930d ago

well said and bubble up to you. Both consoles will deliver great games with great graphics.

OT, man with the assist off, this is really an all out sim. This game will probably be one of the highest rated next gen launch games come November. Can't wait!

HammadTheBeast1930d ago

Disagreed, and reported for trolling. Say Lata to that bubble

No_Limit1930d ago

HammadTheBeast is the kind of person that will report you to the mod for constantly fragging him on COD online.

The old saying, "if you can't take it, don't dish it" holds true. I think his feeling is hurt. LOL

like how u blocked me for hurting ur feelings :)

aceitman1929d ago

it does look good but I have to say I really don't get the reflections on the hood of the car how is the flat surface of the road reflect of the hood, look at the lines from the road on the hood of the car, how . the reflections should be from the sky or the surroundings not the ground .

Hicken1929d ago

As of now, it seems to be there on EVERY car. Hope that's changed before launch, as it's pretty disturbing.

That comment is pathetic.

Just wondering, a lot of people are saying this involving FM5 (rightfully so), but do you own a steering wheel? Unfortunate for people on a budget and awesome for the sake of improving the characteristics and quality of using steering wheels on the Xbox, people aren't going to be able to use their current, "past-gen" steering wheels on the X1. I wonder how many people, who are looking forward to FM5 and will definitely buy it, are using a steering wheel for more serious racing or are simply using a controller.

I'm surprised to see how great the physics look in this demonstration. I would really like to buy FM5, but I can't afford the whole setup at all, which for me will be +750 dollars at least. 500 for the X1 not including tax plus the game plus a new steering wheel from Thrustmaster not including tax, also, while not knowing the price of it, but the steering wheel FROM THRUSTMASTER can't be any cheaper than 150 and it might even be over 200 dollars (not including tax).

For every platform (PC, X360, PS3 etc.) that I've had, I never failed to get with it a pretty good wheel or flight stick support for each platform's premiere racing or flying games. A gamepad could suffice, but they do not provide the immersion that I require.

I play all genres, but racing, FPS, and flying games are my bread and butter so...yes I will buy the Thrustmaster wheel when it comes out. If something better comes out, I'll buy that one too.

I know a very good wheel could get pretty expensive, but in my opinion, are totally worth it.

Me-Time1929d ago

I agree. I really don't know why someone disagreed with you. If you can afford it, why the hell not? I hate not having a job, or car, money!

FlyShootRaceSims1928d ago (Edited 1928d ago )

The disagrees doesn't bother me one bit. While I have my own preferences, I don't go out and tell everyone that what I prefer should be taken as gospel like what some people are doing.

While I could be found guilty of being fanboyish at times--this troll wars is getting old. Just stick to what you like and don't lose sleep over the competition. If you support all platforms like I do, then it is a win-win.

If you happen to live in Los Angeles and in need of a job, I might be able to offer you one provided you meet the qualifications required. :-)

FITgamer1929d ago (Edited 1929d ago )

Game looks good, not sure how he can use a race wheel with first cockpit view. Seeing hands in front of your hands is awkward. Better with hood view.
