Ubisoft Blurs History In Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Like You Justify Eating Food Off The Floor

"Have you ever heard of the 5-second rule? It states that food dropped on the ground won't be contaminated if you can pick it up and shove it back into your face within 5 seconds." - GameRevolution

Was by far the best looking game I saw at PAX and I saw everything but Watch Dogs and Infamous SS. The lines were just way to long for all the games. But AC4 will be the most visually stunning game ever on a console to date. The game play will have you lost in that world never wanting to stop playing.

Dare you step up and tell me what console game ( sure many over looked that ) looked better. I went to everyone on the floor. Ready to answer...

Didn't you say that you didn't see Second Son and Watch Dogs?

Don't puff your little chest out. Hah

Again, city environments to Caribbean sea. It's not even going to be close. I already know all 3 games are going to be very good. But remember this post come when the games are all out.

That's a really f#$ing stupid rule to go by lol, history buffs are going to rip this game a new one.

Its just a game (I know that) but credibility and accuracy goes hand and hand, how can you give credit to a lie?

I thought the whole point of ac story was to lend a certain believability of the protagonist being in some form connected to historical events?

I know most people won't care but if i were into history this would suck.what's wrong with putting the time in to make your game as believable as humanly possible?

So long as people do their research afterwards and believe that ACIV is in any way representative of actual history everything should be okay.

Yes it's in the pirates historical settings but it's also a game and has to appeal to gamers. When your cruising on the ocean in real life how often do you run into enemy ships? How often do you see a whale? How often do you see a tornado or a storm? Those things all happen in AC4 Black Flag but if your out on the open water and nothing happens because they really pushed for a believable human world then the game wouldn't really be fun. People would say screw this I'm done with this an am going to go play a game where stuff actually happens.

The point of a game is really to enjoy playing in a time that we can't go and be in. Even movies that say "based on a true story" it isn't the actual story. They over exaggerate things and tweak things here and there to make it a better story. For example Micheal Orr commenting on The Blind Side and that he knew how to play football when growing up. Here is a link. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl...

It's just the way the media and mostly everybody does it these days. This also brings up the question of The Order: 1886 because it is based on Valedictorian settings but if it is believable it is in the game like the railing gun and arc gun.

You gotta do what you gotta do.

Hey, I'm all for History when watching the History Channel. Could care less if Blackbeard was a lefty and they made him right handed in the game. I'm buying AC4 for whales, naval battles, exploration and killing people all wrapped up in a neat set of graphics that beat previous installments.

I'm a CSS (cut scene skipper) anyway. I play for enjoyment not historical truth.
