The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt impressions | PCGamesN

PCGamesN: "After seeing The Witcher 3 I have a suspicion it’s something special. It’s much more than a prettier looking, more open version of The Witcher 2. It looks like a game by developers who finally have the experience and resources to make what they’ve always wanted: an open world RPG, full of choices with no right answers, the consequences of which can be brutal and far reaching.

It also has exploding crows."

This game is going to be the shit

I got witcher and witcher 2 during Steam's summer sale for about 10 bucks or so, and I found witcher 2 to be disappointing. It felt oddly constrained for a game that boasts it's "open world" ambitions. The camera, and combat, as well as general movement mechanics were clunky, and the animations were rough around the edges. I also found it annoying that during dialogue exchanges with NPC's, the music would ramp itself up, and completely muffle the spoken exchange. The map also needs to be redone, because its damned close to being useless.

As long as the world is larger, and the combat/movement mechanics are a bit more refined, it could end up being a great game.
Also, was anyone else jarred by the abrupt ending?

I don't think CDPR ever claimed that Witcher 2 was an Open World game.

I've never has music ramping up in dialogs with NPC's
unless you have turned down dialogue sounds: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Not sure what you mean by abrupt ending. It was pretty obvious, that someone had higher goals for the places you visit.

Yes i was caughtbout by the very abrupt on ending of part 2 espc with my choise as it ended on a whimper and not an epic fight.

Looking forward to witcher 3 though cant wait !!
