Rumors, rumors, rumors. Where would we be without you? Today's flavor comes to us courtesy of Bloomberg's Japanese office. Their site is claiming that a newly revamped Nintendo DS should be on its way to retailers everywhere.
*ahem* I believe the first three words explained this article pretty well
yeah, but this one is getting hotter and hotter. Their is buzz and a rumbling about this across the whole industry. All you got to do is look at the life spans of the last two official game boys, not the redesigns, to see that it is very possibly true. GBA launched in 2001 GB-DS launched in 2004 We are in 2008 If it is true, it will be huge and they will sell like hotcakes. Their is nothing stopping them from making a backward compatible monster and better hardware.
Horribly translated. The PSP has sold 850 million something units? Um, I don't think so. I can't make heads or tails off that article, just gotta wait and see if there's validity to any of it....
go look at the blue PS3 on ebay it looks sick.
well, they are already selling like hotcakes over the world...
This was already reported last week.
Nintendo will make you feel like your holding an obsolete system in your hands before you even have the chance to break it in.
Just like when my original PSP got replaced by the PSP Slim. Then again my old one was ruined due to disk read errors.
just like sony like when i have my psp fat then i get the slim damm u sony
"PSP is the end of March totalled 857 million units sold." lol lol lol lol hahahahhahahahahaha
I can't just keep updating hardware every two years or so. And I know I don't have to buy either a new DS or a new PSP (if they ever arrive) but you can't not buy them really (apologies for the double negative)!
I do not even know where my DS is no more. Have not used it since I played NSMB.
well look at consoles, u gatta buy the new hardware for new games. and the DS is 4 years old.. that pretty old. I mean in dog years its about 1/3 way done (considering the dogs live to around 12, depending on breed of course) but then again in tech terms 4 years is REALLY OLD. i mean who here has a PC thats 4 years old? do u notice how slow it is compared to your friend's new one? I mean if its new i'd get it, if its an update then i wouldn't I mean I have the ORIGINAL DS, no need for me to upgrade to DS LITE. if this is like the GBA MICRO then no need to buy it but i'm sure people will. I did buy GB ADVANCED game 1 and eventually got the SP due to backlight and rechargable battery as well as the clamshell design. and Nintendo is pretty good on their backwards compatibility. We may loose the tech to play GBA games but who here doesn't have a DS that wants to play GBA games? so we get a new format and the ability to play DS games then GREAT. if its a new format all togethere then great too since most people have DS already. I wouldn't be sour if the next Gameboy is not backwards compatible. but i do have teh feeling the touch screen is here to stay.
I hope so. I never got a Lite and I still have my fat DS. it works fine but a cracked a hinge on it so Id like to replace it. Plus its about 3 years old now. As long as this new DS isn't gimped like the GBA micro I will probably buy it.
