6aming's Patrick asks you the question, Presentation or Innovation? Which do you prefer in your games?
I like a mix of both. That's actually a really good question. I prefer innovation in the beginning of a console gen, because mechanics aren't as fine-tuned as they are late in the generation. But that's okay, it's only the beginning. Innovation regardless is good. I sure do love good presentation though. Ex: The Last of Us. Presentation just makes the game much more enjoyable for me, even if it has slightly familiar gameplay (I'm not referring to TLOU when I say this, gameplay was too-notch and pretty fresh).
Everything really. Its like asking Mom or Dad?
I don't like ultimatums...
Innovation. Presentation doesn't matter as much to me, since most of the presentation being done these days is "how many more particle effects can we add to this collapsing building" and other such inconsequential drivel. Innovation in gameplay matters far more to me than a new coat of sparkly graphical paint. In fact, as far as graphics goes, it's the art style that matters more to me.
Innovation. I don't care about how much dust or newspaper pages blow in the wind.
