Ars Technica: "Peter Molyneux's effort to revive the god game makes some bold gameplay choices."
Ambicious project + Molineux = Imminent false advertisement
He was showing it off and so far all the crazy features he said he would do... he's done. so as long as he wraps it up nice and tight. This may be the first Molyneux project to actually deliver on it's promises.
I'm just saying that... Every lie-filled project could have been the first... And since Black & White he has just choosen the fake advertisement... But go on, support him. Buy his games. Say loud and clear that you don't care about lies on gaming industry, that you prefer marketing over substance, even when he makes it pretty clear that he already got this message. Just don't complain later...
I can't wait to give Godus a try. Populous and Populous II were two of my favorite games of all time. People often forget that before Molyneux was geeking out about the possibilities for the Fable series, he created some absolute classic games. Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Syndicate, Theme Park. The guy was responsible for creating entire genres as part of Bullfrog. And that's not to take away from his Fable series either. Fable and Fable 2 are two of my favorite games on their respective platforms. I'm looking forward to playing Godus.
