No
-If you already have a 3DS
-Have no problem with 3D
-Prefer getting a 3DS/Have the money for 3DS

Yes
-3D can be problematic for the user
-Have enough money for the 2DS but not the 3DS
-If you believe your child would like having the 2DS over the 3DS

I am tempted to buy one. But on the other hand, if it only was foldable and had the second circle pad, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. The 3DS game library has vastly improved from the launch period but since Nintendo seems reluctant to add the second circle pad without an add-on, I'll probably end up buying a normal 3DS or the XL version at some point.

It's an SKU designed for Children, i.e. 7 year olds and younger

If you don't like it chances are you're above 8 years of age

why not just give a price cut to the 3ds again this looks really clunky due to the fact that it does not fold and it kinda reassures us that the 3ds will never get a price drop because u can just get a 2ds
Kevlar009  +   703d ago
Because they don't want to price cut the 3DS, because they don't need to.

Nintendo tried to identify a potential market. The thinking is parents don't want to spend a bunch of money on a gaming handheld, especially if it has the possibility to break. There are also some parents who may be wary of 3D on small children (effects are inconclusive). The 2DS is a cheap alternative that is less prone to break from play and abuse that still plays the games their children like.

That's all it is. It's not supposed to succeed the 3DS, nor is it a turn around of the 3DS concept. It's a cheap alternative for young children

This is the weirdest announcement from Nintendo ever! I don't even know if this is a good idea, but it seems so pointless, because, you know you can turn off the 3D already right?

No I should not care about this because I already have my 3ds XL which can turn 3d off. So I don't see much of a point in this product.

I dislike the 2DS design and rather fork up the extra cash to buy the normal 3DS or 3DSXL, so that it fits in my pocket.
Subzero200  +   703d ago
the real topic here is should we care about trolls posting stupid topics like this daily.
LordDhampire  +   703d ago
If it has a bigger screen then the original 3ds and is cheap ill buy it for new pokemon
just-joe  +   703d ago
Why should I care? I have a 3DS already, I can see the appeal, but I could really care less for the 2DS.
josephayal  +   703d ago
No, the 2DS just seems out dated . Plus the screen quality is poor on 2DS, OLED is the future
