Hands on with Xbox One, Kinect and its future games - STN

STN:

Impressed.

That's the word we would choose when summing up our experience at yesterday’s presentation and hands on session with the Xbox One, Kinect and upcoming titles.

Yes, yes, you're all thinking “you would say that”, but honestly, we don't only sell games, we play them too and get as excited as you do, about new generations and the games that come with them. (FIFA 14, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Xbox One)

Nice read. Impressed seems to be the word of the month for the Xbox One!

After the feel of the games in the 360 I did expect the PS4 and the ONE to step up their game one more time. This competition is healthy for the gaming industry .

Yes it is and one we should all embrace.

Good, glad it was impressive. I've never had a problem with the system itself, nor its services, but I've always had a problem with Microsofts policies and now, their lack of clear direction.

If the system is good, works good, and services work well then good for those consumers who choose to buy it. I won't be a supporter because I feel Microsoft treats consumers poorly (ala free stuff behind a pay wall, lack of Direction with their plan to include poor DRM initially with XBox ONE etc, releasing 360 as a faulty console - see red ring - knowing it would be an issue) etc.

That isn't to say I wouldn't play an XBox or enjoy exclusive games on it, but I won't pay for one and award a company with that sale.

Thats my opinion and own personal stance tho. I'll be happy for any consumer that feels they got their money's worth out of something tho.

Do you happen to preach on weekends? Just curious as to why your post sound like the ones I heard from you before?

On topic, Kinect 2 will be a huge edge for M$ if Sony does not show some appealing use for their camera. I am talking casuals here.

Not sure how much a camera can really sway people but it's a nice bonus if you were already getting an Xbox one!

Lmao ok....

Did you disagree with my comment over that?

I think the media and consumers at large will feel the same way about X1 once it hits the market. Truth be told, I think MS has the most next gen console out of them all when you consider the tech and features inside of it. The forward thinkingness of the box will only pay off as time goes on...but people need to actually experience it.

The trouble is people tend to think they're always right, going with opinions formed from from very little most of the time. In the hands though yes it's fair to say xb1 has things unique to the system that will make the difference down the line

Nice read. Actually an article not comparing PS4 and the Xbone! Nice to know (the mandatory) kinect is working properly...

Just sad to know that it only arrives in Belgium by April 1, 2014...
