Editors Mike Dunn and Ron Burke write: "At no point in console gaming history has there been a videogame avalanche of this magnitude. There are more titles coming this year for all platforms than at any other time, and there are even more after the turn of the year. Today we take a look at part 1 of 2 of the upcoming titles through the end of October. Part 2 will cover the incredible launch lineup for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and handheld/mobile titles coming from November 1st through December 31st. It is a very good time to be a gamer, and no choice in this upcoming console battle is a poor one."
Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?
We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.
Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time
Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.
Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.
Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".
No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate launched 10 years ago today, and demonstrates why we need a new edition of the series.
My wallet hurts just looking at this list, and it's only Part 1!
" You must choose....wisely"
* I want a lot of those games, but I can't afford all that I want.
* Total War: Rome 2
* Battlefield 4
* GTA 5
* Pokemon X
That is what I'm going for initially.
Rayman Legends
Puppeteer
The Wonderful 101
Grand Theft Auto V
Definitely a lot happening for me in September.
