A lot of changes have come to EA Sports’ games over the years – and not all of them have been a good idea.
Electronic Arts has used its Madden NFL franchise to simulate the winner of each Super Bowl every year since 2004. This year, Madden NFL 17 predicts the Patriots will beat the Falcons with a score of 27-24.
Now, a CPU vs. CPU game is not the most scientific way to place bets on a team, but the series’ predictions have been proven more correct than wrong. Starting with Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004, let’s look back at every prediction to see how accurate of a sim Madden truly is.
Techtorial: Fry's Electronics is now giving big discounts to several video games including Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Collector's Edition at $20.
In Fails of the Weak #205, Ryan and Geoff bring you fails in Madden NFL 25, Watch Dogs, and Last of Us Remastered.
I haven't played any NFL games in years since refuse to spend my cash on Madden
This really isn't a review but more of a "The controls are to complex for me so I don't like it" kind of thing. Controls have never been the issue with madden so I don't see the point of this guy trashing the game on the sole fact that he like pressing less buttons And enjoys games that are even more arcade than madden. For all the things EA did wrong with madden 25 the precision controls are a definite step in the right direction. Madden needs to grow up and give more control to the player, get smarter AI and fix the core gameplay animations and mechanics. Madden is arcadey as is, over simplified control schemes would only further the problem.
EA needs to let this series go and let some real developers have a chance. They've shown they can't be trusted to make good football games. Time to pump some innovation into the genre.
Come on 2K I'm waiting !
I usually buy football games every two years or so. Last Madden for me was 2012 which in my opinion is the best Madden this generation (PS3,X360). Played Madden 25 demo and I must admit I'm digging it. Looked next gen, played smooth, still not a fan of motion blur graphics. The dilemma I'm facing is should I get it now on the X360, or wait until November for the PS4 version?
