New Halo Plot Details Leaked

It’s hard not to get excited for Master Chief’s Xbox One debut. However, when debuted at this year’s E3, Halo (currently unnumbered), left much to the imagination with its flashy yet sparse trailer.

Well, details on the MC’s latest space-faring exploits have come to light via a leak directly from Microsoft itself. The brief (and fairly non-spoilerific) extract reads:

S**t son, he loses his batteries!?

I look forward to this, i liked the direction that 343 industries took the Halo 4 singleplayer, it was more focused and character driven. I just hope they can do something with the MP to stop it feeling a little stale.

Yea man! i am a ps player but i do own a xbox 360 too. I have played all the halo games and i liked 4. I am not going to buy xbox one, but i can go play halo 5 to my friends house with him so i can play it for the story.

you owe it to yourself to at least play the original game.

if the graphics are an eye soar, get the anniversary edition.

it is in my opinion still the best single player halo campaign. it may not have the same impact on you because you already kind of know the story, but even from a gameplay point of view, I still enjoyed it more then any of the other campaigns.

@DARK WITNESS

didn't i just say i have played ALL the halo games?

DARK WITNESS1065d ago

My bad, I have no idea how I managed to completely miss-read that. somehow my brain read that you hadn't played 1.

my mistake.

Multiplayer on 4 has improved over time. New maps and game types are a great deal better than release. If anything I would want something to be done about the single player... I enjoyed 4, but the last 2 levels of "run and press the button" was a terrible way to end it.

Sadly I will be missing out this time though :(

@ DARK WITNESS

I played the anniversary edition and really enjoyed it.

I agree, in my opinion they succeeded in making Master Chief feel more human, and not as one dimensional. I always wished they could make the Master Chief as likeable as he is in the books. The books are amazing by the way. I may be more of a PS guy but I can't deny that when it comes to Halo, especially the MP I will always be there day one.

Now that Halo will take the open world genre , I'm really excited

GarrusVakarian1065d ago (Edited 1065d ago )

Open world genre? Where does it say that? Open world wouldn't suit the Halo series at all

IHassounah1065d ago

It was leaked by NeoGaf , and yes it does but if it's done right

GarrusVakarian1065d ago

Nothing has been officially announced. I highly doubt it will be open world. NeoGaf isn't exactly a reliable source.

Playing halo CE and levels like the Map Room and Silent Cartographer I think it's quite easy to see how Halo could be done as an open world game.

at the very least each stage would be a mini sandbox world.

I actually didn't enjoy the more linear feel to the levels in most of the other halo games.

isa_scout1065d ago

Halo doesn't need to be open world. It's already a huge sanbox type of game. Games like Crysis and even the upcomiing Killzone are designed and took a lot of inspiration from the original Halo. Huge(not open world) enviroments that allowed the player to tackle an objective in multiple different ways. Thats one of the best things about Halos campaign, and I really think it will make Killzone a much better game. Not that I didn't like Killzone(platinumed Killzone 3) but it's nice to see GG moving the franchise forward.
