Nintendo Is Still Making Its Most Popular System Ever

Kotaku - With the introduction of the Nintendo 2DS to bolster the Nintendo 3DS line-up, it seems that the days of the Nintendo DS could be drawing to a close. But it turns out Nintendo still makes a couple of models of the hardware. You just might not see them in your neck of the woods.P

"There are retailers that continue to carry [the] DSi and DSi XL today," Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime told me during a phone interview earlier this week. "Typically you'll be able to find more DSi XL [units] out in the marketplace. And typically that product will be priced at $99." (3DS, Nintendo, Nintendo DS, Wii U)

Most popular system ever? You must be joking!

I wonder if you read the article.

U should know by now that people on N4G don't read articles and go only by the title and picture. Funny thing is all you gotta do is read the very first sentence and you don't even have to click on the link to get a much more accurate understanding of the article

As if the picture wasn't put there purposely to mislead in the first place.

If it has nothing to do with Gamecube 2, I want no part of it. Sorry Nintendo.

See lots of folks saw the Wii U there and instantaneously assumed the article was talking about that. It says right in the description what they're talking about.

Feature image is misleading (Though I believe Wii U can attain the same level of glory).

Why is there a picture of Wii U?... Which is not what the title is even about?...

The DS was an absolute beast. Although not much was said about it at the launch of the 3DS, I thought it was excellent that it still played DS games.

Still not my thing as I found I really didn't use my DS when I had it, but a neighbors kid showed me his last weekend and I've got to say it looked pretty damn impressive. If I had a lot of down time away from home like when I used to travel a lot for work, I'd certainly pick one up.
