Are MMO’s Being Dumbed Down?

Personally, I’m not much of a team player in MMORPG’s, preferring to solo as much content as I can, as I’ve found that relying on random people will usually find you screwed. I decided to try two games for this little study, and made sure they were games that I had played off and on since release. This way, I could more easily compare the title’s degree of difficulty from release to present day. This little study of mine has taken about two months to complete, with one month set aside for each game. So, sit back and relax, and prepare to read one hell of a long, drawn out opinion on why gamers have become lazy over time. (PC, Star Wars:The Old Republic, World of Warcraft)

They never struck me as being that engaging in the first place. Not the vast majority anyway, but then that's the same with all creative media type things, most of it sucks.
