I think the look is bold and clearly a departure from the traditional fold and go style on purpose. People who use nooks and kindles and other tablets are fully comfortable with those designs and the available selection of protective cases.

This one isnt meant to be carried in your pocket. it is meant to be played and used in a more consistent manner. If there is to be a con it is the lack of 2nd analog slider on the lower right side. they could easily have moved the start/select buttons to the lower left and put in the 2nd slide pad for games like nano assault or res evil.

the interesting part, if they dropped the 3d then why still have 3d capable camera on the back? The person taking the picture will not be able to see it in 3d but i guess if you share photos with someone who has a 3ds, they could still see it the way it was taken.

It's the mono speaker that's the real issue for me. It has enough space for stereo speakers so why put in a mono speaker?
