We went in assuming that Kinect was a gimmick, very much as it was last time around. With the exception of the unfinished facial expression tracking though, and a couple of minor quirks that could very well be down to the fact that we were looking at in-development software in a room packed full of people, we came out with our heads swimming with game ideas.
Golf With Your Friends gets better again, with the introduction of a Critical Hit DLC pack and the launch of Speed Golf.
Between its innovative puzzles, impressive presentation, and undefeated vibes, Cocoon needs to be experienced on Xbox Game Pass and beyond.
VGChartz's Evan Norris: "If you haven't played Rainbow Cotton before, you're not alone. A Dreamcast exclusive released only in Japan, it's not exactly a household name. Looking to change that, and bring the sixth-gen game back into the spotlight, is German studio KRITZELKRATZ 3000, which — with the backing of publisher ININ and original developer SUCCESS — has remade the 3D shoot-'em-up from the ground up. Featuring several modern quality-of-life upgrades, plus HD graphics and a brand new local co-op mode, it promises to merge the past and present when it launches digitally on consoles and PC on May 9.
Ahead of the game's release, I chatted with Andreas Scholl, technical director at KRITZELKRATZ 3000 and lead programmer for Rainbow Cotton, about what fans can expect from the remake."
There is potential for this to be much better received by the gamers and developers.
And...with one in every box, that potential doesnt have to be squandered. Incorporating traditional with motion gameplay mechanics seems to be the sweet spot MS is aiming for this time around.
Being given the right balance of support from the ground up as opposed to being an afterthought like their first time out.
Amazing technology for sure, but it still needs to show usefull and meaningfull applications for this technology to justify its incluision with every One at a premium price.
Balls. In 6 months after launch it will follow the first one. It will be classed as a pointless gimmick. It's not if it works or not. It's is the whole waving / shouting compelling, long term. I say only fanboys and non gamers will buy into the nonsense
Same for Move( although that actually works) and Wii is worst console I've ever owned/ used.
Gonna say this again and a millions time more,if you don't feel what you're doing aka holding a controller then this is pointless, hardly something that you'll immerse in.
As for it's possibilities .. sure,it has many potential; just not in GAMES.
Waving your head/hands/legs is hardly enjoying your video games, much more like a chore or exercise to be called a gaming peripheral.
The face sculpting thing is kinda cool though,I'll give them that.
