Technology reporter Alistair Charlton sits down with the Xbox One, taking a look at Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5 and the game console's new Kinect sensor.
It's just ridiculous how far these fanboys will go just to trash a company they don't work for or making any money off of? It's just retarded. I'm looking forward to both consoles and I know both will be amazing machines. Bring on the next gen already, can't wait.
He needs to squint to see the difference in graphics from the One to PS3 or 360. Input invalid.
Yea, I honestly stopped reading after he wrote that.
'Xbox One: First Impressions of Microsoft's New Console' The first impressions I got back in June about about the Xbone still linger on and are hard to shake off.
i agree, 1st impressions last !! pass
Here we go again clearly written by PS fanboy who downgrade the review story was submitted by Marialfutura for sure
The truth that Sony had to sell two buildings for 1.4 billion dollars and lay off thousand of workers just to show the company profit this year because of the PS3 and other products?
oooooooooh! That one stung.
The PS3 is not costing Sony money; it's their TV and other electronics divisions that are bleeding. Cheap Korean LCD manufacturers like LG have taken a huge chunk of Sony's revenue.
That is true. But cutting the cancer of the failing home entertainment hardware division (minus playstation) is not going to go over well with a Japenses Board that will sacrifice their own pay to maintain the company before they slice it up.
Great can't wait till I get a X1.
Wow..I love at the end how he put "and while graphics have probably reached their limit, the One's ability to do more at once is obvious." Seriously? This article is ridiculous and has to be biased.
lol right? I hope the person who wrote this doesn't really believe the system is already tapped out before it's even out.
OK read the article, impressions seemed positive enough which honestly I kinda expect from anyone touching these devices for the first time. What I really want to complain about though is the site that posted this article. I absolutely loath sites that have AUTO play ads that start the moment you get on the site regardless of you mousing over the ad or clicking on it...and even worse no way to shut it off. F'ing annoying.
If any fanboy is expecting the PS4 or X1 to release and be vastly inferior to the other, have no good games, or just plain suck, they are going to be disappointed. While I don't want to spend $499 and am not excited about Kinect, I still can recognize both consoles should be a blast to play and offer some great games. I just get the feeling that each side is hoping and expecting that one will kill the other outright. Both consoles are good enough to do very well and offer a lot of entertainment. Does that mean I think every aspect of each console is going to do well? No. But there is enough under the hood and enough cool stuff to satisfy a lot of gamers. I'm choosing a PS4, but if I had to get an X1 instead, I sure wouldn't be hanging my head low. Halo 5 and other games should be great.
We need more comments like this. I am getting an X1, but that doesn't mean the PS4 sucks. Quite the opposite, in fact, it's just a simple matter of taste and that is pretty much that.
I plan on buying both consoles like I always have. But I'll buy an XB1 first. It has more features and the line up of games are better. Sony has a slew of indie titles in their bullpen, but I'm not an indie gamer. Infamous Second Son looks cool, but I can wait on it. I've never liked Killzone - Titanfall, COD, BF4, Destiny, Halo, and Gears will be better. I think I may buy a PS4 late 2014 or early 2015, once more exclusives are released. I also think Kinect 2.0 is being vastly underrated. In time, gamers will realize that Microsoft made the right decision by heavily integrating it into XB1.
