Hidden Image unveils The Last of Us Story Inspiration Came from McCarthy's Post Apocalyptic Novel

Beware Spoilers Ahead/Read at Your Own Risk. The masterpiece from Naughty Dog, The Last of Us took inspiration from a post apocalyptic novel written by American writer Cormac McCarthy.

The story is too old to be commented.

Hidden images don't reveal what inspired TLOU, ND did that themselves endlessly in interviews prior to release and afterwards. Why search with a magnifying glass when you can search with Google?

I think in an interview, ND confirmed "The Road" inspired this game somewhat. It's very fogy in my memory, so maybe I was high or it was a dream.

Don't get me wrong, still an amazing game. My personal favorite game this generation.

no matter where it came from.... the creative mind at Naughty Dog is the main why The Last of Us is consider as masterpiece of current generation......

one of the greatest of all time, this game nailed something that i always dreamed about (since begging of current gen)

this game combined the great epic cinematic experience feel without the strictly linear pace(regenerating health, moving forward, few weapons, the trend we're seeing this gen) most action games in this gen felt incredibly cinematic and epic but the gameplay felt "on rail", lacking the old school variety, the last of us combined the two perfectly

in adam sessler's voice, the last of us is ......."a FIVE..... out of FIVE"

this is not a game based on the road, different story. it's Naughty dog's masterpiece and one of the best games so far to everything!

It's not BASED per se but there's a definite influence there from McCarthy's book.
