Review: Killer Is Dead | HeyUGuys Gaming

HUGG Writes: Killer Is Dead feels like a missed opportunity. The art style is beautiful, a mix between an Anime film and the cell shaded gorgeousness of Borderlands 2, and the basic game play is solid and executed perfectly and the soundtrack is varied and perfectly balanced for each levels theme – but the convoluted story, that repeatedly threatens to explain itself before throwing even more confusing symbolism at you, and the childishness of the Gigolo missions ruin what could have been a masterpiece. There is still a lot to enjoy during the game, like battling a Yakuza boss who is riding a tiger while you ride on the back of a motorbike, but these moments of absolute excitement and retina-detaching visuals are overshadowed by the games numerous flaws.
