"Nintendo thought Kamiya was scary"
Was this before or after Kamiya's now famous "Do you eat shit?"

just because everybody plays COD doesn't mean every game needs to copy that.

There is a huge difference between copying CoD (which is completely irrelevant) and making a game that would appeal to a more board audience. PG has a horrible history of doing the latter, so I could certainly understand their logic. Especially with Nintendo which has a long history of making games that people generally like.

I wouldn't be surprised if to kamiya's surprise Miyamoto and Iwata were playing DK vs Mario battles with action figures when he walked in the office.

With a great man like miyamoto I doubt they would have an extreme business approach where its all work. Now as for Kamiya being scary it mustve been his upfront attitude and twitter lashes. All in all its great these men met and made a good decision to work together.

miyamoto is know to be such a diva on the work floor. Business is really just part of it.

Find some industrial engineers they can run cirlces around most designers and are closer to being a fine artist than any thing a gaming school can produce.

the platinum guys simply make what they want to play yet it is not always designed for everyone else. Suda has this same problem,. Thses guys need a Nintendo to protect them from fps heaven which is what ps4 and xone are trying to be.

come on Nintendo even got tecmo to fix their game... platinum needed Nintendo to push them. I hope they are not yet done. This is their grad thesis before they become masters.
