Kombo: DualShock 3 Impressions

Kombo writes: "Gamers where stunned the day they heard "rumble is a last-gen feature." A part of the collective gamer soul died a little.. Gamers accepted their fate until a glorious day – the DualShock 3 would be coming. With the controller in our hands now, we can say it's real, it's awesome and you should pick one up.

The first reaction you'll have is in response to the weight of the controller, which is substantially increased over the vanilla SIXAXIS controller. So the quality of the DualShock 3 seems sturdier and more able to take day-to-day punishment than the feather weight SIXAXIS. The quality boost goes beyond the weight; the dual analogue sticks are firmer and have a tighter feel so the dead zone feels non-existent. The other buttons feel the same and there have been no issues what-so-ever to report of after a few days of testing out the controller." (PS3)
