Gamescom: Prepare to Lose Your Life to PS4’s Resogun | IGN

IGN: "Resogun is very much like Super Stardust, right down to its twin-stick mechanics and twitch gameplay. But it’s its own game, too, one that stands out as being different enough not to be a Stardust game in its own right. Either way, after playing it a few times, it quickly became clear that this game has the potential to suck scores of hours from your life, just like the Housemarque arcade shooters that came before it." (PS4, Resogun)

Looks like fun, can't complain getting it "free".

it was already a must for me,.... and look like i wont even have to purchase it.

thx PS+

"Resogun may not push PS4 to its graphical limits, but… this isn’t a game that could run on PS3 or Vita..."

Why the hell not? This game doesn't look like it's using all that much power. I'm sure, without dumbing it down, you can optimize it enough to run on the Vita. Because I want this on my Vita.

the majority of ps4 games will be playable on psvita via remote play anyway.

sure its not native but it will work for you.

It was already a must buy for me as well. Super Stardust HD and Dead Nation are my two most played PSN games, and Resogun being a next gen game is going to make me lose my mind. Expect 60fps locked @ 1080p.

Day one.

Yeah I was already set on buying the next game they announce and then they finally show a trailer an then say it's coming to PS+ for free. AWESOME! I really hope Sony gave them a decent bonus for letting it come to PS+ so quick/at the games launch.

I love all of House Marques games so far!

I get a feeling that we will have less and less port for the Vita because of this.
And it is a shame. Remote play requires internet. Not something that I always have with a handheld.

Come on try harder!

My first PSN purchase, and one of my favourite games of this gen. Got the highest score out of all my friends at ~70 000000 points :D

I STILL need that 10x multiplier trophy

The 10x multiplyer trophie is easy, its that damn Tokenizer Trophy thats hard as hell to get, boosting through 15 tokens is rough, cant get it on either SSHD and SSDelta :(

Still i cant wait for Resogun. Beautiful looking game. And thanks to PS+ Ive already got it free

That bomber trophy on the PS3 version where you have to stockpile bombs in bomber mode is one of the hardest trophies ever.
saint_seya  +   391d ago
I love the game, and got all the trophies :p.. I think this one, and uncharted where the only ones i went for all the trophies, then i started to play less for trophies

Its like defenders meet astroid. Just need a bit of missle command then my dream game from the atari era is complete.

Stardust i managed to get in the top 100 leader board at one time when i got it for free after PSN was hacked. Went 3 playthrough without dieing and no bombs used to increase my multipliers.

I take this game over the next COD. I am serious. I had more fun with Stardust that 85% of AAA budget games i played this gen.

Same page here. It's probably the first game I'd recommend to a new vita owner. Absolute must have. Get the DLC, too. Endless mode gives me the difficulty kick I need.

The only other modern twin stick shooter that I would rate highly (though not as high) is beat hazard ultra. I have it on my phone, but I would kill to have it on vita.

I loved SSD HD.. I spent hours playing it because it was quick and fun, it also didn't hurt knowing it was the first game to have trophies~

So Resogun is going to kill me?
IanVanCheese  +   391d ago
I wasn't exactly wowed by Sony at Gamescom, but Resogun was one of the few thing they showed that I liked the look of.
