[REVIEW] Saints Row IV - El Dojo Gamer

One of the most important changes that this franchise 'suffered' during this generation was to stop trying to be a realistic game. The quality jump with Saints Row The Third was such that, even when the doors opened to the comic, to the bizarre, to the fun, it also improved the gameplay aspects and why not, the story elements in the game. Not being tied to conventions or even to have to give logical explanations on many of the game main's element takes a load off the designer. Saints Row IV is crazier, more bizarre and more fun than its predecessor but keep in mind, that you have to be open minded to reused elements of The Third.

Ok, so you're ranking it as the best game of all time? That's a bit generous don't ya think?

100/100 ?

- This reviewer person obviously is a bit biased and probably not the most intelligent person in the universe.

IMO, no game has ever been higher than a 97/100, and only maybe 5 have touched that level.

If 50 games are 92/100, only about 6-7 of them actually deserve that high of a score.

Scores of 7.5-8.5 = a good to really good game even bordering on great.

Giving out such high scores defeats the purpose of scores in the first place, if those who are scoring have no integrity.

Or maybe our society has become so dumb, they we don't actually know we are dumb, we actually think we are smart, so Purple dildo's and all thing immature are now considering amazing by grown adults.

Our standards need to be better than this.

It is even worse when you consider that they are using a /100 scoring system. If it was out of 10 fine but he is saying this game is absolutely flawless. It isn't. And that isn't an opinion. There are too many issues with it for it to be perfect. I'll start on the supremely dated visuals. On my PC it looks exactly the same as The Third but i've noticed some major performance issues whilst jumping and sprinting which shouldn't be occuring.

It's not a bad game but 100/100?! That's just ridiculous.. Even Volition wouldn't give the game perfect score.

Erm.. I had tons of fun with it for a few hours earlier but 100/100 is ridiculous, opinion or not.

Reviewer must be really high or a giant fan of big ass purple dildos ..lol

I could see myself giving this game a perfect score if I was really high.

Volition's Saints Row 4 PC upgrade was meant to be a make-good, but it broke the game instead

Remember this year's Saints Row(opens in new tab)? Volition would probably prefer that you didn't, which might go some way to explaining why the studio recently decided to upgrade everyone's copy of Saints Row 4(opens in new tab) to its full-fat Re-elected Edition, containing all the game's story and cosmetic DLC and even introducing cross-play between Steam, Epic, and GOG versions of the game.

Unfortunately, that upgrade seems to have backfired, and players now report a myriad of bugs with their new version of SR4. Both the Saints Row Steam forums(opens in new tab) and subreddit(opens in new tab) are filled with players complaining of broken saves, crashes, and mods failing to function. It's also received a few hundred negative Steam reviews(opens in new tab) since the update. If it's succeeded in washing the taste of Saints Row (2022) out of players' mouths, it's only because it tastes even worse.

I wonder if Volition's getting reorged under Gearbox impacted the quality of their release.

i can't help but laugh at this comment. Gearbox can't even run themselves.
