It's not. Metal Gear Rising's difficulty made me rage like an angry wasp, but that game was still friggin' good. If the game is too difficult for you, it's your fault, not the game's fault.

I didn't find Metal Gear Rising all that hard except for the last boss. That boss was cheesy as hell.

Is Rising really that hard? The one game I've been hearing about lately that's pretty challenging is Bioshock Infinite's 1999 mode.

That 1999 mode is really hard,
I got the joke about why they call it that. Reminds of all the hard games I played as a kid in the 90's. Hard as hell!

I'd have to agree, Demon souls kicked my ass in a good way.

We live a gaming era of instant gratification, people want to end the game when they want without the effort but this also cause the game become stale and its traded in before the first month is up. Microwave gaming at it's finest....

I love difficult games like demon souls cause they give you a challenge to see if you are the best.

WillGuitarGuy1071d ago

Agreed. The punishing difficulty of Demon's Souls made me strive to get better at the game.

SolidDuck1071d ago

Well there's skill based hard like a demons soul which I love. Or theres poor design hard like bad camera, poor lock on, bad control scheme, things like that. That kind of hard can get so frustrating that it is definitely a con.
