PS4's Controller 'Best Of The Best'

"Sony has talked in the past about the way in which they aimed to give developers what they want with the PS4 and the company has been vocal about the fact that they sought feedback from the development community while working on their next-gen offering.

According to Infamous: Second Son director, Nate Fox, Sony's willingness to take feedback from developers has really paid off, particularly when it comes to the PS4's controller, the DualShock 4." (inFamous: Second Son, PS4, Sony, Tag Invalid)

Everything about this game looks amazing. It blew me away at e3.

I imagine that die hard Sony fans are going to love the DS4, even though I personally don't care for the analog stick layout and I hate the triggers. You could also get rid of the light bar now that the camera is pretty much guaranteed to fail.

I can't tell what side you're on. U say the games great but don't like the controller and say the ps eye will fail. Are u an Xboy or a Soyboy.... Because neutrality can not exist /s

This guy, "Nate Fox", is in Sony's back pocket. Everything he says reeks of PR.

I could never wrap my head around the analogue layout. My fingers always slip off. the Xbox360 controller is my darling.

Some people can see the negatives and positives each game console.

I am biased towards the Playstation brand, I can also see the negatives.

I don't get how people don't like the "analog stick layout". I found the 360 uncomfortable with the left stick being top left. I have OCD, so I like things being symmetrical.

He's the director of Infamous:SS. The hell do you expect?

I don't pick sides. That's for insecure children with purchase justification issues.

I currently have $100 down on a ps4 and I will buy the Xbox One when and if they release a bundle without Kinect.

I also own every other console on the planet, a few Android and iOS devices, and I'm currently building a new PC.

C'mon man, why don't you just go ahead and type in "please click disagree" while you're at it.

I love the look of the new Dual Shock 4 but I won't judge it until I've used it myself.
RTS games with that touch pad??
Swipe left and right to change weapons?
Swipe to change from night vision to thermal in next gen splinter cell?

I hope they put it to good use.

It will certainly aid in game immersion... Imagine in Watchdogs or Infamous etc that an in game finger print scanner is used so it asks you to touch the pad.

Swipe in specific directions or shapes to create objects in a game like the iPhone Harry Potter spells app.

Flick you finger up to release a medic pack or ammo pack in Battlefield 4.

It could certainly be used as an in game mouse pad and even used on a internet browser.

I personally forget which controller I am using very quickly once I am into a game. Only exception was any games that used the dpad on the 360, which were few and far between anyway. The DS4 and X1 controller both look great in my opinion. Unless you have a hand problem I don't see how people really notice the difference once they are gaming.

"Sony's willingness to take feedback from developers has really paid off"

This is why the Dualshock 4 and PS4 is currently blowing the competition away. They listened to feedback before announcing their product not after!

Lol, how can one hate the trigger of the new DS4 before they try it! How can one talk about the overall feel of the DS4 without holding it? You can like the original 360 controller, but everyone who has had the PS4 and New Xbox One controller have praised them both.

Complaining that the director of Infamous sounds like a PR machine is pointless, his team helped design the DS4 and as a result helped make a controller that's universally praised amongst developers and the people who have spent intimate time with it.

People on here make me laugh.

First bots say we got all the games. Then sony gets the games,NOW WE GOT THE BEST CONTROLLER. Thats the last thing xbots have to back microsoft. DS3 was similar to DS2. How that turn out? . Now xboxone is similar to the first xbox s design. Ask anybody that held both and they will say DS4 run circles around Xboxone pad. 40 improvements my ass, the name, the console, controller, powerbrick, vent on top of console plus batteries. Two years they will be going back to the drawing board

I like the new controller, specially the touch panel, the design is very smart not only in terms of confort for the player, also in terms of innovation, tradition and manufacturing cost. The new dual shock is fresh, stylized and much cheap to produce than for example the WiiU pad.
