Remembering Dark Souls, Expecting Dark Souls II | Hardcore Gamer

Hardcore Gamer: It's been quite a while since I completed my journey through the depths of frustration, anxiety and accomplishment. I laughed, I cried, I screamed at my TV screen with an unquenchable blood-thirst; all in the name of fun. And with Dark Souls II quickly approaching, I'm reminded of my experience; the very one that dragged me back to the early days of gaming; days when success was a matter of skill and practice, rather than routine. (Dark Souls 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

I remember my game being invaded while in Anor Londo. The dark spirit faced me at the end of a long hallway. It bowed to me, and I to it, then we fought to the death. That moment was so cool I can't even remember who won. One of my all time best gaming memories. Love the Soul series.

Demon's Souls 2 needs to be made. Sony, make it happen.

I clicked disagree, but only because I don't think it will ever happen.

cant stand this game game imho is way to diffcult cuz its so open world which boss u kill first what area has shield to get past this make game straightforward people.

skyrim is open world but it has not diffculty compared to this if this game were more lineari n aspect i dont have to trek here to get this to go back there to beat said boss game would lot easier and enjoyable id have ps3 controller still not smashed up

It isn't nearly as difficult if you know and learn the enemy weaknesses. If you notice, the majority of the enemies have slow attack speeds (though do huge damage!), but this allows you to learn the animations and act accordingly.

To be honest...it wasn't nearly as difficult as I feared it would b having not played demon souls. But, I play every game the same way...with patience and preparation. I have to search everywhere and find everything and this helped. I did die a lot but if u take the time to plan and figure out what u want to do and how u want to go about the world...it isn't that bad. It is rewarding though and few games come close to its sheer awesomeness...l!
