What happens if you have nothing but porn on your computer?

Oh god. I don't want to think about it.

Interesting. They're basically using the drive structures as the rooms and doors. The files as the NPCs enemies etc.

I bet you could take this creative concept and utilize it on a single image file. Just swap the bits or order to mimic a base key. Then select random patterns found in the image file to create workable sequences.

Fascinating!

I'd see the single file dungeons as more social then ones created based on the unique nature of every computer. Sure the original concept should work but I think a single file repurposer would be more socially robust.

With a single file system you could say create a dungeon using a file then send or copy that file (provided it's not illigal) to a friend or family member. Then the friend could experience the same dungeon on their end using that same file content.

Not only would you have the capability to share your experience but each computer would have many many many dungeon versions compared to the single unique system experience.

I remember Monster Hunter way way back on the Playstation. You could get ANY data CD or Music CD stick it in your Playstation and summon a monster with stats created from the data found on that CD.

There where people that went out and purchased or borrowed CDs specifically to get powerful monsters others uncovered from their CD libraries. It was truly a inovative way to use real life music cds and even other Playstation games to create an army of monster pets.

So, to put it bluntly almost any digital data could be re-purposed as the base source to create game monsters or worlds. It's just the method of how that data is reused.

Also NO, if you use porn files it probably wouldn't create a porno adventure. The data and system format is just compiling a world based on the directory structure not the actual content inside the files Like I mentioned as an idea.

Whatever happened to the concept of data reperposing. Wouldn't it be cool if you could stuff a USB full of random personal data files, MP3's Gifs etc and use them to create monsters for something like Ni No Kuni or Poke'mon? To me this was innovation at it's finest!

It was cool in monster hunter back then but would need modification for the data distribution methods used today.

I hope this excludes Windows.

This is brilliant because your file manager/explorer essentially becomes a level editor.

10 Upcoming IndieGogo Games to Keep an Eye On

Marcus Estrada writes: "Despite being a year older, IndieGogo is like Kickstarter’s kid brother. Although the two having very similar aims IndieGogo is stuck playing catch up in many instances. Kickstarter projects often receive publicity by virtue of being on the “popular” crowdfunding platform. As a result, IndieGogo campaigns are fewer in number and many less have been successful via this avenue. Still, a handful of very cool looking projects are currently in development after funding on IndieGogo. Here’s ten which may be worth your time."

Indiegogo gets ‘AdventurOS’ and builds levels out of Folders and Files.

With the help of “Evelend Games”, the guys behind “Pixelry”, “Indiegogo” are running into innovative territory with their newest title, “AdventurOS”. The concept of the game is simple, it’s a 2.5D ‘Metroidvania’ style game in which you traverse castles, find treasure and solve puzzles. Simple. Or is it?
