Because they partnered with SuperEA to secure some FIFA mode or whatever, and paid a lot to get some COD or BF timed-exclusive contents. That's the guy's reasons to justify what has got to be one of the msot pretentious statement in video game history ever. Lame.

They may have paid for those exclusive [then again which company has never paid for exclusives] but Many will argue that he is right in some way.

I personally do not think it has best launch in "history" . Athough I am not sure which consoles launch line up before is worthy of such statement

not about what the line-up is about, it's about how much you will support the console in the future or will x1 owners only be getting broken Kinect games?

ShugaCane1457d ago (Edited 1457d ago )

Okay, then. Let put the statement itself aside for a moment.

"The reason we do our own studio investments and investments with third-party publishers is very simple - we want to make sure the best games are on Xbox," Harrison told CVG.

"We want to make sure the best developers bring their creativity to our platform."

Does that sound HONEST to you ? From MS ? Seriously. Do you really think this is about bringing creativity to their console. Come on. He said it himself. It's just investments. What I am pointing out here is the guy's hypocrisy. It's obvious.

Thats fine but they will also on Playstation as the likes of EA and Activision are out to make money!

Its hard to compare past consoles lineup, times are so different, but personally I think micros next gen launch lineup is better than sonys.

Don't know if Microsoft has the best launch line-up 'in console history', but it certainly is a good launch line-up. What Microsoft fails to understand is that most gamers don't want Kinect and aren't willing to pay extra for the X1 simply because it has Kinect... they will loose a lot of sales because of their stubbornness, and when they realize this it might be to late. Microsoft needs a Kinectless X1 SKU or else they already lost next gen "console war".
