I keep going back to the demo and I learn something new every time. Chaining together the Unite forms for high combos and juggling enemies for ultimate damage was simply undoable with my first couple of plays in the demo, but now its just smooth and sooooooo much fun. I can see how some reviews gave it below an 8 out of 10 because you must practice and have patience to truly fall in love with this game. Some Reviewers rush and put up a score to get hits on their websites before they can learn how to play the game and love it. It's a shame...

I guess controls and learning curves aren't much of a factor in their reviews. My assumption is they act as if players already know what they're doing when they first start, then review a game based on content and gameplay.

Their score should balance out the overall reception. Certainly a wild card

maybe on their end their review is based on different criteria.

So just because you have to learn a bit of the controls means the game can't be great as a whole? I actually prefer having to learn the game. Remember games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat? You actually had to LEARN the combos and special moves...

Unfortunetaly avarage score is 79%, so "only" a good game.

title "Near-Perfect Score" from Famitsu in Japan

"Unfortunetaly avarage score is 79%," has nothing to do with the thread.

19/23 reviews are a score of 80 or above. Only 2 low scores at 60, the rest are above 70.

If you actually add up the 23 from Metacritic and do the average, it actually works out to 81.5

So unless Metacritic gives higher weights to certain reviews, that score of 79 is currently incorrect.

Or we could just make up our own minds based off the actual points in reviews, instead of scrutinize a pointless scoring average to deicide how good a game is. Seriously, Metacritic is a cancer on this industry.

oh so Call of Duty must be that so amazing game any game below it is worst.

Yeah stop using Reviewe scores.

GTA IV I though everyone hated that game but the score is high. So it must be the best game ever then.
