0x10c, Markus "Notch" Persson's sandbox sci-fi game was put on hold indefinitely last week, but the game's community is looking to create their own project, US Gamer reports.
As if Notch’s Elite-ish didn’t have enough directions to spiral out into in the infinity of space, he’s gone and decided to work on an editor for the thing. It’ll allow players to place the rooms of their ships willy nilly, but will eventually do more than that.
DSOGaming writes: "Markus 'Notch' Persson has released the first footage of Mojang's upcoming game, 0x10^c. This is a WIP footage, and does not show much, apart from some physics, bobbing, and guns. 0×10^c is said to take place in a hard science fiction world and will feature lots of engineering, a fully working computer system, space battles against the AI or other players. Players will be able to seamlessly land on planets and there will be an advanced economy system. There will also be random encounters, as well as mining, trading, and looting. Enjoy!"

All i can say is that it looks, well, just like minecraft (:L
So its minecraft in space or...what?
way to take full advantage of a PC's power by creating something that looks like it was made in the early 90's...
i mean, this style works for minecraft (as much as i loathe the game, the artistic direction they took with it actually works), but come on....
@ koehler83:
that's why you're supposed to have designers/artists on your dev team. you don't need to make horrible excuses like "oh, but he's a coder, not an artist so it's okay", especially when he's been raking in the cash from his other game. he can surely afford to hire a few people to make the game look amazing.
