Batman: Arkham Origins to Skip PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Those of you crossing your fingers for a next-generation version of Batman: Arkham Origins will be sorely disappointed, as it has been confirmed that the title has not been developed for next-generation consoles. (Batman: Arkham Origins, PS4, Xbox One)

Guess the extra time and money needed to bring it to "next-gen" isn't worth it to them.

A bit of a gamble, but I guess they have their reasons.

Still would have been nice to see what they could have done with the extra raw power available. Fans will have to wait for the next Batman I guess.

That's disappointing :( but there will be plenty of next-gen games to keep me entertained.

Exactly who the hell thought they were going to port it....Jesus not every game coming out now needs to be ported to PS4/One80....Same thing with GTA V want to play them buy them for the damn consoles you already own

exactly

Fine by me. I was skipping buying this game anyway. I'll wait for Rocksteady's proper Batman sequal.

Not every game coming out has to port to next gen. I'd rather see them build the game from the ground up utilizing the new tech, instead of porting something, that will only look slightly better.

I'll get it for pc then.

That's my plan too although no clue when I will have time for it so may wait a bit.

there just saying that so you can pick up ps3 &360 versions without waiting. then announce ps4 & xbone versions.
Deadpoolio  +   716d ago
Or they just aren't that concerned, Jesus not everything is a conspiracy theory, some companies literally don't feel like porting a game that morons I mean people can purchase for their systems that they currently own...While they move on to other NEW projects for PS4/One80

That's stupid. No one does that. If they really wanted it to be next gen it would've been announced months ago.

Ill just wait to play arkham city 3 on ps4 when it eventually comes out.

Why would you wait for Rocksteady's next Batman game? That's stupid, just play this one. Same formula, just cause a different developer is making it doesn't make it a bad thing. It's the same freaking formula. Same publisher. Pretty sure they're not going to mess up a franchise. When I used to play Call of Duty, I thought Treyarch did a better job than Infinity Ward.
