Resident Evil 6 was a failure in most fans' eyes. The series that originated the Survival Horror genre has strayed to the polar opposite from the original path.
and Dark Void.
and Dragon's Dogma
Dragon's Dogma was awesome. One of my favorites this gen! My only complaint is the lack of difficulty in the ng+ (I've got spoiled by Soul series scalling difficulty on new playthroughs). :)
I didn't like the game. So many poor designs, but I can definitely see why you would love the game.
and bionic commando.
and Devil May Cry
mother of god o.o
and Megaman, oh wait.
He mentions that the Leon campaign was a success, but part of the problem was including so much in the package. The early parts of the Leon campaign felt right'' Nope, not even close of old school RE. The Last of Us shows a good direction of what the consumers want.' Urgh...you capcom needs watch more The Evil Within instead of this game.. -_-
Well they would be admitting defeat b/c shinji mikami is doing that one.
Last of Us inst a survival horror by any means.
I find it funny how Capcom said RE7 will be a survival horror game when they said the same shit with RE6. I'm not believing a word Capcom says until they prove it.
do they think that re5 was a success? that game was horrendous imo. time for a reboot. back to the drawing board. and please, if nothing else, no more forced co-op.
The difference is, RE5 sold millions more than RE6.
Resident Evil grew too big, with aliens and global menace and all... I liked it better when it was smaller. A isolated event in one small town. I feel it was more atmospheric when everything was kind of under the rug: one place went to hell and no one knew about it. I'd like to see it rebooted, maybe with a new cast of caracters offering a fresh perspective to same story. It could go kind of the Silent Hill way, with each new game showing the struggles of a new character in a new outbreak in a different part of the world. Not s.t.a.r.s, special agents or bad ass soldiers, just regular people trying to survive and understand what is going on. Unfortunatly, what we will probably end up seeing is another b-movie with a Michael Bay style and budget.
Yeah, I loved the idea behind Umbrella and the other corporations, but it's played out. A unknown threat in an unknown place needs to be the next game, similar to RE4 and TLOU.
Finally. See, many people will argue that it was a good game, just not great. And by a lot I mean 5 tops lol but re sets the bar too high for the crap given. If they advertise it as the crap it is then fine but they go trying to feed us that they're going back to its roots and it is all a lie. Revelations was a step in the right direction but it needs so much more.
