Lose your mind with Shadow of the Eternals new Sanity Systems Video

Precursor Games has released a new video showcasing Shadow of the Eternals’ “Sanity System.” The new features are designed to be a call back to some of the more interesting insanity mechanics featured in the original Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem.

The video features commentary by Precursor Games’ COO Shawn Jackson, who discusses a number of interesting possibilities set forth by the sanity system, including the ability to reach previously inaccessible areas by purposefully allowing your sanity to drain away. The concept certainly looks interesting, and could potentially be a nice homage for fans of the original cult classic. (PC, Precursor Games, PS4, Shadow of the Eternals, Wii U)

Now that's what I call next generation gameplay, hopefully the game will live up to the concept.

Not really. Play Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Sanity system was great 10 years ago, possibly better.

I just watched 5min's and don't know what you're talking about lol
I'm just saying that this kind of dynamic environment looks like step forward to me.

Nintendo fund the rest of the kickstarter and lock it in as an exclusive!!! If they pull a Bayonetta 2 and bring this title back from the dead they'll be heroes in my book!

This ^^^ Do it Nintendo that's pennies to you and you would definitely win at least some lost fans and credibility back.

I agree with you-
But I'm torn-

"Sharknado"! The Game!?
This has got to happen!
/joking in context to video (if you watched it).
People need to pledge to show there's interest in this game. A lot of people want it but not enough are pledging. I don't know if people realize you don't get charged if it doesn't fund.

This is what I've been hoping for all along, I would prefer it to be the N but I could live with it being a different company, just as long as the game gets made.
It's the same people that made Eternal Darkness even if its not under Nintendo. It will be amazing.

The sanity effect video is funny. Ashamed to say I fell for it. Never heard of Sharknado - thought it was legit! Remember the deleted save file trick from Eternal Darkness? They'll be able to do more with the new engine.

I am so excited for the game. The kickstarter page has tons of more quality footage, 5500+ backers so far, and 2500+ forum members creating content for the game. Check put the game and join us! Get the full game for only 25$, it is amazing value.

If anyone out there ever wanted to design video game content, then please, take a moment to look at the potential Shadow of the Eternals has. It would be a shame if a project like this fell through the cracks.

This will be a great game, and I hope all of you guys help fund this project on kickstarter. Also, you can raise your pledge and aid spreading the word to everyone...

Every comment section for Shadows of the Eternal, on any website is like the same 4-5 people begging for more money and telling people missing out on giving this company your money is missing out on the opportunity to play maybe the greatest game to ever be conceived.

I guess I'm just tired of playing games classed as "survival horror" when all it turns out being is "shoot 1 million bullets at 1 million recycled zombie hybrids. This game doesn't appear to be any of that. It's got my vote.
